New Year's Day.

- Miles, how many days are you going to close this New Year? - Phat asked when he saw Miles enter the room.

- For a week, I'm going to give the employees a long break. Miles said back.

- That's good, then you can rest a little. - Phat said, knowing full well that his lover was tired of running the store.

Where are we going on this long break, Phat? - Miles asked.

- I have a place I want to go. But I don't know if you want to go with me or not. - Phat asked back.

Miles made a confused face.

- Where? - Miles asked curiously.
..
..
Be careful while driving and see if the driver is drunk or not. - Phat's mother warned as she drove to drop off Phat and Miles at the bus station on December 30, as Phat and Miles decided not to drive.

- Mom, they don't let drivers drink alcohol. - Phat said laughing.

- You can't trust it, there are a lot of people drinking during the festival. It's a good thing you two aren't driving. Otherwise, your mother would worry again. Because you two aren't used to going up there. - Mom said again and Miles smiled.

- You're really not going with us? - Miles asked.

- No, your father's relatives will come. I have to stay here to welcome them. Besides, I don't want to disturb you two. - Phat's mother said with a smile.

This made Miles feel a little embarrassed.

- And Phat isn't home, are you going to be okay? - Miles asked again.

- They've seen my face until they're bored, and they don't even want to see me. - Phat said jokingly.

Miles made a confused face.

- It's just like Phat said, Miles doesn't have to think too much. You'll have fun. - Mom said with a smile, before stopping at the van.

Phat and Miles raised their hands to pay tribute to Phat's mother, before grabbing their bags and getting out of the car.

- I'll call you, mom. Oh, on the 1st, wait for my call. I'll call you on New Year's. - Phat said and his mother nodded.

Phat then closed the car door and took Miles to buy the tickets. Mom drove home.

- Two per sangkhla. - Phat bought the tickets and chose a double seat.

When he received the ticket, he sat down and waited for the van to go to where he was going.

- Are you hungry, Miles? - Phat asked worriedly.

They both only have backpacks and Miles has a camera bag attached.

- No, I just had breakfast. How can I be hungry? - Miles said back and Phat laughed.

- Ah Phat, why do you say that your father's relatives don't want to see you? - Miles asked curiously.

- Huh, nothing much. My uncles and aunts always complain that I always drag my cousins to drink. - Phat said jokingly, because he often gets together with his father's relatives and his uncles always complain bluntly that he drinks too much.

- You're an idiot. - Miles said, not seriously. - Honestly, what did you think about inviting me to celebrate New Year in Sangkhla? - Miles asked again.

- That's where you and I reconciled. I just want to revisit some memories. - Phat said with a smile.

Miles smiled as he waited for the van for a while. Soon, the van that would take them arrived.
