The next day, the energy at the stadium was electric. Alejandro had a big game, and Amira's little brother Amir was making his debut. Their entire group—Alana, Achraf, Amara, Aaliyah, Tori, Eddie, Luna, Katie, Laura, and Leilani—was there to support them, filling the family section with excitement.
Amira held Amara on her lap as they watched the game unfold. The first half was intense, with Sevilla keeping Barça on their toes. But when halftime came, the score was still 1-1.
The second half began, and Amir was subbed on. Amira felt a surge of pride as her brother stepped onto the field, looking focused and ready.
In the 76th minute, Alejandro crossed the ball perfectly into the box, and Amir took the shot. The ball flew past the goalkeeper, slipping through his hands and into the net. The crowd erupted into cheers as Amir celebrated with an unmistakable L gesture directed toward Leilani.
Leilani's face turned bright red, and the girls around her burst into laughter.
"Oh, he did not just do that!" Luna teased.
"Looks like someone's got a boyfriend," Katie added, winking at Leilani, who buried her face in her hands.
After the match, they all made their way down to the pitch. Amara ran straight to Amir, her tiny arms wrapping around his legs. "You scored, Amir!" she squealed, her excitement contagious.
Amir picked her up, spinning her around. "That's right, Mara! Did you like it?"
"It was so cool!" she exclaimed, her eyes shining.
Amira smiled as she watched them, her heart swelling with pride. When Amir hugged her, she whispered, "I'm so proud of you."
"Thanks, Mimi," he replied, his voice filled with gratitude.
Amira stepped aside, giving Leilani a little nudge. "Go congratulate him," she said with a knowing smile, taking Amara with her to give them some space.
Leilani approached Amir shyly, and his face lit up when he saw her. "Hey," he said, his voice soft.
"Hey," she replied, her cheeks still pink. "You were amazing out there."
"Thanks," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "The celebration was for you, by the way."
Leilani laughed, her nervousness fading. "I figured."
Nearby, Amira made her way to Alejandro, who was waiting for her with open arms. She pecked him on the lips, and Amara wrinkled her nose.
"Ewwww!" Amara exclaimed, drawing the attention of some nearby players and staff, who chuckled at her reaction.
