Alejandro had been planning the evening for weeks, wanting every detail to be perfect. When he picked Amira up that evening, she was greeted with the sight of him standing outside her door, holding a bouquet of her favorite flowers—white lilies mixed with blush pink roses. He wore a crisp white shirt, slightly unbuttoned at the top, paired with tailored pants and his signature cologne that made her heart race every time.
"You look... stunning," he said, his voice soft but full of admiration as his eyes lingered on her. Amira wore a simple yet elegant satin dress in a deep red that hugged her figure perfectly. Her hair was styled loosely, cascading over her shoulders, and her lips were painted a soft pink.
"Not so bad yourself," she teased, though her cheeks flushed under his intense gaze.
Alejandro opened the car door for her like the gentleman he always was, and they set off, her curiosity bubbling as he refused to tell her where they were going.
As the car pulled up to a secluded beach, Amira gasped. The shoreline was illuminated by a path of fairy lights leading to a private setup. A low table was surrounded by plush cushions and blankets, and the soft glow of lanterns cast a warm ambiance over the scene. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the gentle hum of romantic music playing in the background made it feel like something out of a dream.
"Wow," Amira breathed, turning to Alejandro. "You did all this?"
He shrugged, trying to act nonchalant, but his shy smile gave him away. "Only the best for you, Ria."
They walked down the lighted path, hand in hand, and sat down to enjoy the meal he had arranged—a selection of her favorite dishes, paired with sparkling water (because he knew she wasn't much of a drinker).
Throughout the dinner, Alejandro couldn't take his eyes off her. Every laugh, every smile, every little movement captivated him.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Amira asked, her cheeks heating up under his gaze.
"Because I'm in love with you," he said simply, his voice steady.
Her heart skipped a beat, and she tried to play it cool, though her face betrayed her. "You've said that like a hundred times already."
"And I'll say it a hundred more," he replied, leaning closer. "I love you, Amira. I love you, I love you, I love you."
"Stop it," she said, laughing as she tried to hide her flustered expression, but deep down, she couldn't stop the warmth spreading through her chest.
After dinner, Alejandro led her closer to the water, where a blanket was spread out with a basket of desserts waiting for them. The moonlight reflected off the waves, and the moment felt almost surreal.
"Amira," he said, taking both her hands in his as they stood by the shore. His tone shifted, becoming more serious, and she felt her breath hitch.
"I know we started this as... well, something fake," he began, his thumb gently rubbing circles on her hand. "But none of this has been fake for me. Every moment I've spent with you has been real—more real than anything I've ever felt before. You've become my everything, Ria. And I don't want to pretend anymore."
Her eyes welled up with tears, her heart pounding in her chest.
Alejandro reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box. Inside was a simple yet elegant promise ring—a delicate silver band with a tiny diamond in the center.
"Amira, will you be my real girlfriend?" he asked, his voice almost a whisper.
Tears spilled over as she nodded, unable to find the words. "Yes," she finally managed, her voice shaky.
