CHAPTER 56

Shehnaaz's POV

Right now I'm in trésor- oh did I mention that I'm working here as a full time employee now?

Well, I do now. It's been a couple of weeks.

I was working on my laptop as Sidharth has called the marketing team with the presentation in the meeting room. So, me and my team headed towards there.

"Guys, have you all reviewed the presentation thoroughly?" My manager asked as we entered inside. All of us reassured him as he sighed in relief.

"Great. Shehnaaz, you will be presenting the idea to the client." He announced, making me surprised.

"M..me? I've never done it before──"

"You'll do just fine, don't worry." He cheered me before giving me a soft pat on my back. Soon Sidharth entered the room with Layla, miss dinosaur──his assistant──and some other people whom I don't know, as everybody stood up in their seats. His eyes found mine as he shot a smile at me before he continued to walk towards his seat.

"Please take your seats. Meet Layla barrack, CEO of Laila and co, and our client." He introduced, as Laila waved at us happily.

I puked mentally at her.

"Let's start." He gave a curt nod to his assistant who started doing the preparations for the presentation. I just sat on my seat, going through my presentation and throwing daggers at Laila, who was freely being cozy with my husband and as if she wasn't enough, that miss dinosaur came close towards him, whispering something into his ear. While he just gave a curt not to her.

Why is he always surrounded by so many women?

"Shehnaaz let's start!" My manager says as I nod my head to him before going towards the stage.

"All the best sana!" One of my colleagues pats my back as I give him a smile.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to present today. I am excited to share our insights and solutions tailored specifically for your needs──" I paused as I looked at Laila who wasn't even paying any attention to me, busy fucking my husband with her eyes.

Ignoring her I carried on with the presentation and about ten minutes later, I was done as everyone started clapping for me.

"Brilliant." Sidharth claps before shooting a proud smile at me, making my stomach flutter. I sat back on my seat as my colleagues praised me.

"Shehnaaz, you need to stay a bit if the client has any doubts── we are going for lunch. Is that okay?" My manager asked── as much as I wanted to say 'NO THIS US YOUR WORK NOT MINE', I couldn't and honestly I've gotten used to this. Them throwing their work on me, and me being a stupid bitch just did their work isn't something new.

"Sure." I gave him a tight lipped smile as he exited the meeting room with the rest of the team members. Right now we have just four people left. Me, Sidharth, Layla and dinosaur- To discuss the further process.

"I think we can proceed with the deal." Laila said.

"But we haven't even discussed terms and conditions- "

"No need for formalities. After all, we are close enough, I trust you blindly." She interrupts Sidharth, her fingers brushing along his knuckles on the table.

"Still, we need to finalise the contract and discuss the company policies." He stated firmly, taking his hand back.

"Let's discuss this on lunch?" She insisted, and my eyes were red in anger as I saw her hand near his lips, pretending to clean some imaginary dust from there.
