The evening sun bathed the palace in a golden hue, casting long shadows through the intricately carved arches. Anubhav stood on the balcony of his private study, his sharp gaze fixed on the horizon. His thoughts were a storm, churning with the weight of the information Rajveer had delivered earlier. The name of his enemy played on his mind—a rival whose audacity had crossed all limits.

“Haseena…” he murmured under his breath, the faintest trace of vulnerability hidden behind his otherwise steely demeanor. The danger she was in burned at the edges of his control, making his decision inevitable.

Before the night could fall, a knock at his study door broke his chain of thoughts.

"Rana sa," Rajveer’s voice came from the other side. "Tayyariyaan poori ho chuki hain."

"Achha," Anubhav said, stepping back inside, his expression unreadable. "Sab kuch khud sambhalna. Ek bhi galti nahi honi chahiye."

Rajveer nodded as Anubhav turned toward the table, his hands resting on its surface as he leaned forward slightly, his presence commanding. The flickering light from a nearby lamp illuminated the sharp lines of his face, emphasizing the sheer intensity in his eyes.

“Ek kaam aur karo,” Anubhav added after a pause, his voice dropping to a near whisper. “Uska har ek kadam monitor karo, lekin bina usse kuch pata chale. Ab se koi bhi cheez chhoti ya badi ham tak pehle aani chahiye.”

“Ji, Rana sa,” Rajveer replied, bowing slightly before exiting the room.

As the door clicked shut, silence enveloped the space again. Anubhav stood there for a moment longer, his mind settling into a calm determination.

Tonight, he would act.

Later that night, Anubhav dressed in black, his silhouette blending into the shadows as he descended the palace steps. The courtyard was eerily quiet, the guards stationed around appearing as nothing more than still figures in the dim light. At the center, his trusted team awaited.

Without a word, he mounted his vehicle, the tension in the air palpable as they set out. The wheels rolled through the silent streets of Patliputr, the city blissfully unaware of the storm brewing in its shadows.

Far away, in the quiet village of Madhubani, Haseena sat by the window of her modest home, unaware of the plans being set into motion. The moonlight spilled over her, highlighting her delicate features as she absentmindedly toyed with the ends of her dupatta.

But tonight, destiny wouldn’t let her rest.

As Anubhav’s vehicle approached the outskirts of the village, his grip tightened on the hilt of his sword. His gaze was cold, focused, and unyielding.

It was time to take what was his.

The quiet hum of the vehicle’s engine was the only sound accompanying the convoy as it cut through the empty roads leading to Madhubani. The flickering streetlights reflected on Anubhav’s face, casting an interplay of light and shadow that mirrored the storm brewing within him. His eyes, cold and calculating, remained fixed on the path ahead, but his mind was locked on her—Haseena.

She was oblivious to the threat looming over her, the same innocence that made her alluring to him now made her vulnerable to enemies. Anubhav’s jaw clenched as he thought of the mole’s betrayal, the rival’s audacity, and the peril she was unknowingly in.

“Rana sa,” Rajveer spoke from the passenger seat, breaking the silence. “Sab kuch tayaar hai. Gaon ke aas-paas ki jagah clear kar di gayi hai. Hamare log mohalle ke entrance par hain.”

Anubhav gave a curt nod but didn’t respond. His silence was more commanding than any words he could speak.

As they neared the village, Anubhav signaled the convoy to halt. The vehicles stopped at a discreet location away from prying eyes. He stepped out, the faint sound of gravel crunching under his boots as he adjusted the black scarf draped loosely over his shoulders. His attire was minimal—a fitted black kurta paired with a dhoti, the simplicity of his clothing a stark contrast to the power he emanated.

“Humein abhi aur intezaar nahi karna chahiye, Rana sa,” Rajveer said, his tone respectful but urgent.

Anubhav’s piercing gaze turned to him. “Ek pal ki bhi chook ki gunjaish nahi hai. Woh meri hai, aur us tak pahunchne ka haq sirf mera.”

Rajveer nodded, signaling the men to position themselves. The team dispersed, moving like shadows in the night, while Anubhav stood at the edge of the forest that bordered the village.

Meanwhile, in Haseena’s home

Haseena sat cross-legged on her bed, flipping through an old photo album. The sound of crickets chirping outside was the only noise breaking the night’s stillness. Noor Jahan was fast asleep in the next room, leaving Haseena alone with her thoughts.

Her eyes lingered on a photograph of her father, her fingers tracing the edges of the image. A bittersweet smile tugged at her lips, but it faded quickly as a strange sensation crept up her spine—a feeling she couldn’t quite place.

Standing, she moved toward the window. Her home was on the edge of the village, where the forest stretched into darkness. The moonlit fields looked peaceful, but something about the night felt off. She tightened her dupatta around her shoulders, her gaze drifting toward the trees swaying in the gentle wind.

Little did she know, the darkness she stared into held him.

Back to Anubhav

Anubhav moved silently, his steps calculated as he led the way through the shadows. Rajveer stayed close behind, his men fanning out to secure the perimeter.

When they reached her home, Anubhav halted, his eyes scanning the modest structure. A faint light glowed from a window on the first floor. His pulse quickened at the thought of her being just within reach, yet still distant.

“Yeh kaam ham khud karunge,” he murmured, waving Rajveer and the others back.

Rajveer hesitated for a moment. “Lekin, Rana sa—”

“Peeche raho,” Anubhav commanded, his voice leaving no room for argument.

Rajveer stepped back, watching as Anubhav moved closer. His figure blended seamlessly with the night, his movements so precise and silent that even the rustling leaves didn’t betray his presence...

Reaching her window he saw her.......
