The evening had settled over the royal palace like a soft, golden veil. The sky was painted in hues of amber and fading orange, as the sun slowly dipped behind the grand domes of Aryawrat. A gentle breeze carried the faint fragrance of jasmine , bougainvillea, and other flowers lingered through the vast gardens, where silence wasn’t empty.. it was alive, breathing with quiet luxury.
Birds chirped as they returned to their nests, their sounds blending with the distant rhythm of life within the palace walls.
In the center of the garden, the atmosphere was light… almost playful.
Karishma and Abhinav were in the middle of an intense badminton match, their laughter echoing freely.
“tu araam se maar na..” Karishma shouted, jumping to hit the shuttle.
“ye to na ho payega sister..!” Abhinav smirked, returning the shot effortlessly.
“Dekhiye chacha sa! Yeh clearly line ke bahar gaya tha!” Karishma protested dramatically, pointing toward the ground.
“Abhi aaraam se..” came a calm reply.
Not too far from them, beneath a beautifully carved canopy, a round marble table was set. Silver trays, delicate teacups, and light evening snacks were arranged with precision.
Seated around it were the pillars of the royal family, Rajmata Vaibhavi Yadhuvanshi, Surya Yadhuvanshi, Satya Yadhuvanshi, Jhanvi, and Maya.
They were engaged in a quiet conversation, the kind that carried both warmth and unspoken authority.
“ bhagwan ki kripa se sab aache se hogaya.. ,” Satya remarked, taking a sip of his tea.
“ha.. ham laga nahi tha ki Rana sa ka vivah itni shaanti se ho jayega..” Rajmata said softly, her gaze drifting toward the horizon.
Jhanvi sat composed, her presence graceful yet observant, while Maya listened silently… her eyes sharp, calculating even in stillness.
Just then, the soft rhythm of footsteps approached.
A palace attendant appeared, bowing respectfully to everyone.
“Pranam… ”
Behind him stood Haseena.
For a brief second, all movement paused.
Haseena stood at the edge of the gathering, her posture slightly hesitant, her fingers nervously clutching the edge of her saree. A faint flush had risen to her cheeks, and her eyes remained lowered..not out of fear, but quiet embarrassment.
They nodded and looked at haseena..
Rajmata raised her eyebrows asking what happened.. The attendant spoke again, carefully, “Maaf kijiye… Nayi Raani sa mahal me bhatak gayi thi...”
A soft silence followed.
Then..
Karishma burst into laughter.
“Bhabhi aap sach mein kho gayi thi?” she ran toward her, eyes sparkling with amusement.
Abhinav Hit her head.. “ Tu to chup hi reh.. bhaabhi sa ka pehla din h.. koi bhi gum ho sakta hai...” Abhinav took his bhabhi's side..
Haseena looked up slightly, first embarrassed, then a small smile forming despite herself.
“Wo… mahal bahut bada hai… samajh nahi aaya kaunsa raasta kahan jaata hai…” she said softly.. it sounded cute..
