Potty Mouth
chapter ten

I smiled up at the bright moon that shined on on my face. Just a few hours ago I was dreading seeing the full moon, now I couldn't keep my eyes off it.

"What's with the big smile?" Scott asked.

"I'm just really happy." I turned my head to look at him laying beside me in the grass. Scott's lips curled into a smile.

"What?" I laughed, furrowing your brows.

"Your eyes." He chuckled.

"What about them?"

"They're glowing."

I suddenly noticed the burning in the back of my eyes. I closed my eyes and squeezed them tight as if it would make it stop.

"Amber." Scott said. "Open your eyes."

I sighed just before slowly opened my eyes back up. "It's okay." He said in a quiet and calm voice. I felt his hand brush up against mine. I reached forward and slid my hand into his.

Suddenly a thumping noise filled my ears. I recognized it as Scott's heart beat. It was steady.

"How are you so calm?" I asked.

He scooted closer towards me, our faces merely inches from each other's. I could feel his hot breath on my face.

"Because I'm with you."

"Looks who's happy." Stiles said as I sat down next to him. I glanced at Scott who sat across from me. He smiled then looked down at his food, which caused me to blush. Then Scott chuckled.

Stiles looked at me then at Scott then at me again.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"Nothing." I said whipping the smile from my face but when I saw the cute little smirk on Scott's face my lips curled into a smile.

"Did something happen between you two?" He pointed at both of us.

"Um... Maybe." Scott's said.

Stiles jaw dropped and his eyes widened.

"What? Come on you gotta tell me." Stiles whined. "You've been acting weird around each other for weeks. I gott-"

"We kissed!" I blurted out. "There, you happy?"

"Aww, you guys." He sighed, giving Scott and I puppy eyes.

"Scott- you can hear me? You can, can't you?"

I looked around the lunch room in confusion.

"What the hell was that?" I asked, I turned my head towards Scott. He had a fiery look in his eyes.

"What's wrong?" Stiles asked.

"Jackson's talking to me. He knows I can hear him. Look at me. Just talk to me. Act normal. Pretend that nothing's happening."

"What's going on?" I asked.

Stiles leaned over and whispered. "Jackson knows about Scott."

"Wait, Whittemore?"

"Are you trying to to pretend not to hear me?"

"Say something, Talk to me!" Scott harshly whispered to us.

"I can't think of anything. My mind's a complete blank." Stiles blabbered

"Your mind's blank? You can't think of something to say?" Scott begged.

"Not under this kind of pressure." Scott looked at me. I just gave him a nervous glance and a shrug.

"So what else can you do? Huh? Can you see better? Are you stronger, more powerful? No, I knew there was no way you suddenly got that good at lacrosse. Which means you're actually a cheater, aren't you? I mean, can you even play lacrosse?"

"Yes." Scott mumbled angrily.

"I'll bet my new co - captain's gonna score a bunch of shots tonight, aren't you? And while you're pretending you're not a lying cheat, I'm gonna ruin your life if you don't give me what I want. And you know what I'm gonna start with? Her."

Scott's fearful eyes landed on me. I felt the heat rise up my body when I realized he was talking about me.

"Amber, isn't it? Well I'm gonna destroy any chance you'll ever have with her. And when I'm done with that, I'm gonna get her all alone, and I'm gonna get my hands all over that tight little body."

"Little body?" I scoffed, my grip on the table tightening.

"Scott, come on, you can't let him do this. You can't let him have this kind of power over you. Okay?" Stiles pleaded.

"I'm gonna do everything you never got the chance to do, and, Scott, she's gonna beg for more. I'll bet she likes to get loud. Maybe she's even a screamer. How are you gonna feel, Scott - When she's screaming my name?"

"That son of a-"

"Amber?!" Stiles gasped at me.

"Shut it Stilinski!" I spat at him as I stood up from the table. I searched the crowd frantically for Jackson. I spotted him on the other side of the lunch room and stormed over his direction.

"What's your problem?" He chuckled as I approached him.

"Your my problem."

Jackson got a worried look on his face. He started backing up but it was to late my fist hit his face sending him against the wall. I pulled my fist back, about to punch again, when a hand gripped my wrist.

"Amber, what's gotten into you?" Scott asked with a concerned look on his face. He was in complete awe of my sudden violent behavior.

"I'm a Hale aren't I? I told you you'd see sooner or later."

"You don't seem like much of a Hale to me." Scott said ending the awkward silence.

I huffed. I hadn't been told that in a long time. "Some day when you see me in a bad mood you'll understand that I'm related to the Hales. It's not just my last name"

"I will put that into account" Scott said.

"Let's go." Scott said, pulling me out towards the exit. I turned my head at Jackson who was giving me the evil eye.

"There's no way in hell i'd let lay a finger on my tight little body." I shouted to him.

The last thing I saw before leaving the lunch room was the look on Jackson's face.

A devilish smile.
