"Yeah, I said we can't find her." Stiles spat at Derek through the phone. I walked ahead of Stiles and found my dads room. I looked around, confused. He was no where to be found. A uneasy feeling settled in my stomach. I felt like something bad was going to happen, and my dad missing had something to do with it.

"Look for Jennifer. She's been looking after my uncle."

"She's not here!" I yelled as I poked my head outside into the hallway. Stiles' shoulders fell in frustration.

"He's not here. He's gone Derek." Stiles said with disappointment. I stepped back in the hallway, searching for a sign that my dad was here.

"Stiles, get out of there. It's him he's the Alpha."

I put all the pieces together, all the murder tracking back to the fire. I understood, he was looking for revenge.

Stiles looked behind me and his eyes widened with fear. Slowly, I turned my back to him. My jaw dropped and instant tears swelled in my eyes. The vision of my moving, standing dad blurred.

"Amber." He suspired, reaching out and wrapping his arms around me. I promptly embraced him, feeling all the frustration from the past six years finally dissapate.

"I missed you." I cried.

"Amber!" I Derek's worried voice echoed in the halls. Some how it woke me from my hypnotic state and I took a step away from him.

"She's my daughter. Don't I have the obligation to hug her?" He snapped.

"Not if your a psychotic murder." Derek spat, standing his ground.

"You think I killed Laura on purpose? One of my own family?" He asked, cocking his head. "My mind, my personality were literally burned out of me. I was being driven by pure instinct."

"You want forgiveness?" Derek spat. Some how, it must have been my powers, but I could feel pure rage weltering inside him.

"I want understanding." He sighed. "Do you have any idea - What it was like for me during those years? Slowly healing, cell by cell. Even more slowly coming back to consciousness." He bickered. He stopped and took a deep breath and continued. "Yes, becoming an Alpha, taking that from Laura pushed me over a plateau in the healing process. I can't help that. I tried to tell you what was happening. I tried to warn you."

"Wait, you mean you could hear me? When I visited you?" I spoke up hesitantly, a memory making it way back into my mind.

"Anchor."

A raspy voice came from somewhere. My eyes widened as I came to realization.

"Dad?" I gasped. My hand flew to my mouth. "Dad, did you say that?"

"You knew." I gasped. "You said to me... anchor. You knew what I was." The cocky smile fell from my fathers mouth and replaced it with a guilty look.

"Yes, I knew." He huffed.

"How?" I spat. Anger began to build up inside me. I felt my pulse grow faster and my face turn red.

"It was the night of the fire. When I told you to go get help. You ran but when you looked back your eyes-"

"Where purple." I interrupted.

"Yes." He continued. "I had only heard stories. I didn't think it was real till that night."

"What stories?" I found myself stepping closer to him. I couldn't help it. Even though was a monster, he was still my dad.

"That when a human and a werewolf have a child, there is a chance that the would be born half human, half werewolf. " He claimed. "They don't have the same power as a werewolf, but they become a kind of a anchor for them. They have the ability to control werewolf's by bringing them back to human much faster then themselves."

Memories came flowing back. What he said seemed familiar.

"Scott?" I whispered. I turned the corner and saw a pair of yellow glowing eyes. I took a step back but when  the figure steeped into the light, it was revealed to be Scott.  It was him but not. He a deranged look upon his face. His eyes, much like the beasts, where animalistic. His teeth where long and a growl escaped his lips. By the way he moved, it was like he didn't recognize me.

"Scott." I said again. My mind was telling me to run but my body brought me closer towards him. Kill them,  his voice echoed in my head. I didn't question why I could hear his thoughts I just acted on impulse.

"No, Scott." I ordered, pressing my hand to his chest. He stopped walking and looked at me. A flicker of the real Scott presented it self in his face.

"Scott, your not going to kill anyone. Your going to calm down." I said softly. Scott looked down so that his face was no longer visible to me. His breathing slowed and the violent thoughts disappeared. Scott looked up again, his face back to normal.

I shook my head in confusion. "What am I?"

Anger, fear, and confusion builds up inside me. I feel my eyes burning but I pay no attention to it.

"Stop!" I scream at the top of my lungs, the ground seemed to vibrate due to my volume.

Scott turns his head towards me. His face back to normal. An accomplished feeling washes over me.

My father looked at me with a sense of relief, he must have been waiting to say the words for years.

"They call it a Dingo."
