A week after I'd last spoken to Josie I was on a plane to Michigan, Kalamazoo to be exact. Staring out the window, watching the clouds afloat below. Taking my phone off airplane mode I checked my notifications, Josie telling me she would be waiting at the gate, Gina phishing for gossip, and Caleb.. Ignoring all those, I sent my mother a text letting her know I had made my flight and would be landing safely later on that night. It was well after 9 o'clock and I'd be on track to make it in the next hour. Getting away from work was a bitch, and so was Mitchell for trying to act like I was going on vacation or something. That's why my late ass was on this late ass flight. But, anyway..
"I can't wait to see you 😘" My phone vibrated from Jo. A week we've been a part, shit it seemed like forever.
"Same here babe, It'll be you and me as soon as I land, which should be shortly ☺️"
"Good, cause I need you." I sighed reading her message, I'd been a less than perfect girlfriend. Way less. The flight attendant announced for everyone to buckle their seat belts for landing. The butterflies in my stomach were nauseating, I just prayed everything went over well with Josie and I when I reached that gate. When we finally landed, I stood, making sure I had everything back in my handbag before exiting the plane. I had no carry on luggage besides my purse, so I proceeded to the gate. Seeing the back of her curly head made my heart beat out of control. She turned at exactly the right moment, spotting me. I ran and jumped in her arms, cliché I know, but I missed her. "I missed you Jo baby!" I exclaimed, giving her smooches on the cheek. I could feel her nod against my shoulder. "And I missed you too Nia baby. Did you gain some weight?" She asked. I playfully smacked her shoulder and she put me down. "You've been gone for a week, of course I feel different, dummy." She just stood there, holding my hands and looking over my appearance. Putting my hand on my hip I did a little turn for her. "I missed you so much babe, gimme kiss." She was so needy.
We stood there, tonguing each other down, not caring who saw, before heading to the luggage carousel and grabbing my things. The night was a bit sticky, given the July weather, but my Chanel jumpsuit and sandals kept me cool enough.
Since her Charger was parked at my house, Josie was driving a rental. I wanted so bad to stop at the McDonald's across from the airport as we whipped out of the parking lot, but decided to wait for something else, what, I didn't know, given the time of night. We were staying downtown at the Radisson Hotel and plaza. And no, this was not my first time in this city, I actually had my own relatives here."I know you gotta be hungry, chunky butt." she said, holding my hand across the console.
"And just how would you know that, maybe I ate on the plane?" My fucking stomach decided to give an unconvincing growl, my head dropped and I couldn't help but crack up.
"Exactly! You ain't fooling nobody, what you want love?" I tapped my lips in thought, nothing was open really. "Can we have Taco Bell, please?" I gave her my best pouty look. "Nah, you don't need that shit, it's nasty. How about a sub sandwich?" Hmm.. "That works, thank you. But um, can you go in and get it for me?" We pulled up at Jimmy Johns. "Ughh, I guess!" She fake whined getting out of the car, "You know what I like!" I called after her. Pulling my phone from my purse I replied to Caleb.
"Hello mister American Express 😎"
His reply came almost instantly.
"Lol, hello miss Williams 😏 coffee soon?"
"I'm actually not in town at the moment, I should be back within the next week." I watched the bubble dance in the text box before he replied. The line was relatively long as Jo waited to order.
"Ah, I see.. The girlfriend? Give me a call when you get back." The hell was his problem? I shrugged, throwing the phone back into my bag. Josie made it back with my food, a number eleven with a pickle slice and a cherry Coke. I couldn't wait to make it to our hotel room and relax, with the person I was meant to be beside, not Caleb.
Once we'd made it up to the room I began to unpack. "I got it, you go ahead and eat, I'll run you a bath." She said, kissing my forehead. I took my sandals off and washed my hands before getting comfy in bed with my food. I wasn't too sure what Jo had planned tonight, but I hoped it involved her pussy and my face..
