Jidenna helped Lily up the steps. Her dorm room was on the third floor.

How in the world did she get this drunk by 12:30?, he thought.

"Jidenna, I'm tiirrreeddd." Lily complained.

"Come on, just one more flight-" before he could even get the sentence out of his mouth Lily collapsed back onto him. He had to regain his balance in order to keep himself from falling down the stairs.

When he was steady he took a deep breath and picked her up. Lily wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head against his chest. She fell asleep on him like he was a teddy bear.

Jidenna didn't feel comfortable being this close to another woman, especially since he was in love with Christine. Just the thought of her made him smile.

He carried Lily all the way up to her floor without complaint. When they reached the right level he heard the stair case door slam open on the first floor.

Geez, somebody's in a hurry, he thought.

He looked down at Lily and tried to shake her awake.

"Lily, Lily," he said.

She fluttered her eyes open.

"Just five more minutes," she groaned while burying her face in his chest.

"No, Lily, what's your room number?"

She sighed and said "It's that one," while she pointed to a door down the hall.

He walked over. He could hear someone pounding up the steps behind him.

They must be really upset about something, he thought.

When they reached the door Lily pulled out her key and opened it.

He carried her in just as the staircase door to the third floor slammed open.

He didn't see her roommate anywhere so he placed her on the nearest bed.

When he tried to stand back up, she wouldn't let go of his neck.

"Let go, Lily," he said while reaching behind and grabbing her wrists.

"But I had such a good time! Don't go-" she was cut off when Jidenna yelled in pain.

Someone very strong had a handle on the back of his hair and was pulling him backwards. Lily's arms were ripped away and Jidenna reached up behind his head to defend himself from his attacker.

When he had freed himself he whipped around just in time to see keys slicing past his face.

"What the-" he dodged the keys again.

Lily started screaming.

He backed up enough to see his attacker. It was Jen. He was so confused. She ran towards him enraged.

Why is she trying to kill me? he thought.

He caught her by the wrists before she could swing at him again.

"Jen! Stop!" she struggled against him.

This chick is strong! he thought.

Finally with an audible growl, she gave up fighting and pulled away from his grasp.

"What the hell, Jen! What's your problem?" He was out of breath.

"Who is this bitch?"She yelled at him.

"What?" Jidenna said confused.

"Excuuse me?" Lily sat up. "What did you just say?

Jen gave Lily a look that said "Don't mess with me" Then she said, "Did I stutter? I said Who.Is.This.Biiitch?" drawing out the last word.

Jen knew Christine would not be proud of her right now but she didn't care. These people had it coming. How dare he do this to her best friend.

Lily cowered a little but remained quiet.

"That's what I thought." She turned her attention back to Jidenna.

Realisation slowly spread across his face.

"Oh.."he said slowly. He held his hands up in defense."I know what this looks like, Jen, but I swear on everything that I didn't do anything. You know I wouldn't hurt Christine." He almost pleaded.

She took a deep breath. There were so many things she wanted to do to this guy but half of them would be crimes and all of them would be sins. She took another breath.

What would Jesus do what would Jesus do what would Jesus do what would Jesus do, She calmed herself.

"Walk with me," she told him, "because you have some explaining to do."

"Thank you so much-" he moved in to hug her.

"Uh Uh, no," she shook her head, "we are not friends."

Once outside the building, they walked to Jen's car. She leaned on the hood and folded her arms.

"Start talking," she said.

"Okay, we went to lunch and she was really drunk so I drove her home. I carried her up the stairs and to her room but nothing happened, I swear." he finished.

"That's all you have to say for yourself?" she looked at him incredulously.

"Yes, and its the truth. Look, I know you don't like me and I get that but you have to believe me...at least for Christine," he said.

"First of all you're not going to tell me what I have to do," she held her finger up, "Second of all, if I find out you're cheating or doing anything that I don't approve of-and I will find out- then my previous threat still stands," she held her middle finger up.

Why does this girl have to be so difficult? Jidenna thought.

"Okay fine, but what was the threat again?" he couldn't remember it.

Jen got into her car and rolled down her window. "I will cut you," she shook her keys at him before starting her car and driving off.

"Love you too," he said sarcastically.

"I heard that, nigga!" she shouted.
