ONE MONTH PASSED.
The initia excitement of starting a new life together had begun to wear off. Jungkook's face was etched with worry and frustration as he trudged back home, yet another job rejection letter clutched in his hand.
Taehyung, sensing Jungkook's despair, tried to offer a comforting smile as he greeted him at the door. But Jungkook just shook his head, feeling defeated.
"They said I'm too young," Jungkook muttered, tossing the letter onto the kitchen counter. "Like, what even is that? I'm 20, not 12."
Taehyung's expression softened, and he wrapped his arms around Jungkook's waist. "It's okay, Kookie. We'll figure something out. We always do."
But as they hugged, Taehyung couldn't shake off the creeping doubts that had been plaguing him. Was this really the life he wanted? Struggling to make ends meet, living in a small house, and dealing with the constant stress of uncertainty?
As they pulled back, Taehyung forced a smile onto his face, not wanting Jungkook to see his doubts. But Jungkook's keen eyes noticed the faint flicker of uncertainty, and his heart skipped a beat.
"Hey, Tae? You okay?" Jungkook asked, his voice laced with concern.
Taehyung's smile faltered for a moment before he regained his composure. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just tired, that's all."
I promise Tae, I will find the job soon. Jungkook promised.
Taehyung's eyes searched Jungkook's face, and he saw the determination etched on his features. He smiled softly, feeling a surge of love and gratitude towards Jungkook.
"I know you will, Kookie," Taehyung said, his voice filled with conviction. "You're strong and capable, and I believe in you."
Jungkook's face lit up with a warm smile, and he pulled Taehyung into a tight hug. "Thank you, Tae," he whispered, his voice filled with emotion. "Just knowing that you believe in me makes me feel like I can conquer the world."
Taehyung pulled back from the hug, a faint crease appeared on his forehead. Jungkook, oblivious to the turmoil brewing inside Taehyung, smiled and kissed him softly on the lips.
But Taehyung's mind was elsewhere, consumed by the nagging doubts that had been plaguing him. Is this really the life I want? he thought, his mind racing with uncertainty. Struggling to make ends meet, and dealing with the stress of Jungkook's job search?
Taehyung's eyes drifted away from Jungkook's, his gaze falling on the small, cluttered house they called home. He felt a pang of discomfort, wondering if this was truly the life he had envisioned for himself.
Jungkook, sensing Taehyung's distraction, frowned slightly. "Tae, what's wrong?" he asked, his voice tinged with concern.
But Taehyung just forced a smile onto his face, not wanting to burden Jungkook with his doubts. "Nothing, Kookie.
Jungkook's eyes narrowed slightly, his gaze searching Taehyung's face for any sign of deception. He knew Taehyung well enough to recognize when he was hiding something.
"Taehyung," Jungkook said, his voice low and gentle. "I know something's bothering you. You can tell me. What is it?"
Taehyung's eyes darted away, his shoulders squaring slightly as he tried to brush off Jungkook's concern. But Jungkook was relentless, his fingers reaching out to gently grasp Taehyung's chin and turn his face back towards him.
"Tell me, Tae," Jungkook whispered, his eyes burning with intensity. "What's going on inside that head of yours?"
Taehyung smiled, Nothing Kookie, just he took Jungkook's hand, and press it on his belly, it's one month Kookie with our little bean.
