PART 43

THIRTY MINUTES AGO.

Jungkook opened the fridge door and scanned the shelves, his eyes searching for the familiar container of his favorite ice cream. He had been craving it all day, and was looking forward to indulging in a late-night treat. But as he gazed at the shelf, his heart sank. The spot where he had stored his ice cream was empty.

"Jordan, did you eat my ice cream?" he asked, turning to face his roommate, who was lounging on the couch, eyes fixed on his phone.

Jordan looked up, a hint of guilt flashing across his face before he quickly covered it up with a nonchalant expression. "Sorry Jungkook, I might have had a little snack," he admitted, sheepishly.

Jungkook raised an eyebrow, a mix of amusement and annoyance on his face. "You owe me, Jordan. Big time."

Feeling guilty, Jordan offered, "Sorry Jungkook, I'll buy it for you tomorrow."

But Jungkook wasn't having it. "Tomorrow's not going to cut it. I need my ice cream fix now." He stood up, determination in his eyes. "I'm going to the supermarket to buy some ice cream. Do you need anything?"

Jordan thought for a moment before responding, "Actually, yeah! Can you pick up some ramen noodles for me? I'm craving them something fierce." He tossed his phone aside and stood up to grab his wallet. "And, hey, while you're at it, grab some more of those chocolate chip cookies, too. I'm almost out."

Jungkook nodded, taking the cash from Jordan. "Got it. See you later, roomie."

Meanwhile, Taehyung pulled into the supermarket parking lot, Vkookie sitting quietly in the backseat, playing with his toys. Taehyung turned off the engine and stepped out of the car, opening the back door to let Vkookie out. "Come on, baby boy! Let's go shopping!" Vkookie giggled and reached out for Taehyung's hand, and together they walked towards the supermarket entrance.

At the same time, Jungkook was also walked towards the supermarket, he didn't notice Taehyung and Vkookie entering the store just a few feet away. Jungkook strolled through the sliding glass doors and grabbed a shopping cart, making his way to the frozen food section to pick up his beloved ice cream.

Taehyung walked into the baby store, Vkookie perched on his hip, and began scanning the shelves for the essentials. His milk, and pampers, and shampoo, and his powder. Vkookie looked around curiously, taking in the sights and sounds of the store. Taehyung smiled and bounced him gently on his hip, "Hey, baby boy! We need to get you some more milk and diapers, okay?" Vkookie babbled and reached out to grab a nearby toy, making Taehyung chuckle.

As Taehyung shopped for Vkookie's essentials, Jungkook walked into the supermarket, scanning the aisles for his favorite ice cream. He had been craving it all day, and was determined to satisfy his sweet tooth. Jordan had asked him to pick up some ramen noodles and chocolate chip cookies, too, so Jungkook made his way to the international foods section to grab the noodles, and then to the bakery aisle for the cookies. As he turned a corner, he almost collided with a shelf, but managed to catch himself just in time. "Whoa, close call!" he muttered to himself, laughing. Little did he know, Taehyung was just a few stores away, shopping for Vkookie's needs.

TIME SKIPPED.

Taehyung stood in the checkout line, Vkookie sitting in the shopping cart, playing with a toy. The cashier scanned the items, and Taehyung smiled as he watched Vkookie giggle and babble. "That'll be $23.50 please," the cashier said, and Taehyung handed over his credit card to pay. As the cashier processed the payment, Taehyung lifted Vkookie out of the cart and onto his shoulder, getting ready to leave.

Just as Taehyung finished paying and was about to leave, Jungkook appeared behind him in line, his shopping cart filled with ice cream, ramen noodles, and chocolate chip cookies. Jungkook didn't notice Taehyung too busy unloading his items onto the conveyor belt. unaware that the person in front of him was Taehyung. As he waited in line, he noticed the little boy sitting on the person's shoulders and couldn't resist reaching out to play with him. Jungkook started gently tickling Vkookie's feet, making him squeal with delight. Vkookie leaned forward, trying to grab Jungkook's hands.
