Jin's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait, is that Jungkook from the church? Jimin's boyfriend?"
Taehyung nodded innocently, winking at Jimin to play along. "Yeah, Dad. They're adorable together."
Jimin caught the cue, smiling sheepishly. "Yeah, we're... uh... really happy."
Jungkook's eyes met Taehyung's, a flicker of amusement dancing in them.
Jin's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Jimin, don't you think you're still young to have a boyfriend?"
Jimin exchanged a nervous glance with Taehyung, playing along.
"Ah, uncle... I think we're just... really happy together," Jimin stammered.
Jin's expression turned thoughtful. "I see. Well, I want to meet Jungkook's parents soon. We should have dinner together."
Taehyung's heart skipped a beat, panicked. This was getting out of hand.
Jimin hastily added, "uncle, maybe later? We're still getting to know each other."
Jin nodded. "Alright, alright. But remember, Jimin, focus on your studies first."
As Jin and Taehyung walked away, Jungkook and Jimin shared a relieved glance.
"That was close," Jungkook whispered.
TIME SKIPPED.
They reached at home. Taehyung feels guilty for lying to his dad, but he has nothing else to do than lying to him. "Everything okay?" Jin asked. Taehyung nodded.
Jin's warm smile put Taehyung's nerves on edge. "I'm proud of you, son, for being supportive of Jimin."
Taehyung forced a weak smile, his guilt intensifying. I'm so tired, I need to take a shower.
Okay baby i will prepare the dinner," Jin replied.
Taehyung went upstairs, took his phone, and called Jungkook. "Baby, I think I have a headache," he said, with fake sobbing.
Jungkook's voice was instantly concerned. "Tae, my love, what's wrong? You okay?"
Taehyung's fake sobbing deepened. "I...just Dad he's being really clingy today."
Jungkook's tone softened. "Aw, baby, you're doing great. I'm so proud of you for handling this. You're strong."
Taehyung's sniffles slowed.
"You're my everything, Tae," Jungkook whispered. "My heart beats for you alone."
Taehyung's heart fluttered.
"Tomorrow can't come soon enough. I need to see your beautiful face," Jungkook said.
Taehyung smiled, his fake tears forgotten.
"Rest now, my love. You deserve it," Jungkook said.
"Thanks, Kookie," Taehyung replied.
"I love you more with each passing day," Jungkook said.
"Love you too," Taehyung said, hanging up.
AFTER A FEW MINUTES.
Taehyung stepped under the warm shower, letting the water cascade down his face. But his mind wasn't on the relaxing sensation; it was on Jungkook's words.
"You're my everything, Tae..."
Taehyung's heart skipped a beat as he replayed the phrase in his head. No matter how many times Jungkook said it, it still made his soul flutter.
He closed his eyes, remembering Jungkook's whispery tone. "My heart beats for you alone."
The water droplets on his skin felt like gentle caresses, echoing Jungkook's gentle touch. Taehyung's cheeks flushed, his thoughts drifting to their next meeting.
