Chapter 17

You continued glancing around at all the yellow eyes that were popping up in the surrounding darkness. Yuffie tugged at your wrist again and pulled you into a run behind her,

"Yuffie how can you tell where we're going? It's too dark to see anything!"

"Just use your instinct [Name], and everything will be-," before she could say anything you both ran into a hard surface, the wall. 

"Ow, Yuffie!" You screamed and you saw the yellow eyes move closer,"Go, Yuff, go!" Not bothering with the pain in your chest from hitting the wall you too continued running along through the dark hall.

Soon there was a light at the end of the hallway, the two of you started sprinting even faster. When you got to the end you saw that the door that was open was for the chemistry room. You two both went into the room and shut the door behind you. You rested your back on the door and slid down to the floor, and closed your eyes,

"What are we supposed to do now?" You asked as you saw Yuffie head to the room where all the chemicals were stored. She looked over at you quick,

"We can't stay in here, they'll still get in here, so I'm going to improvise."

You immediately opened your eyes, you knew Yuffie improvising was probably not a good thing and you were now a little worried, Yuffie and chemicals don't mix. Yuffie came out of the chemical closet with an armful of bottles of different chemicals.

"Yuffie-"

"Oh, [Name], don't worry. I know what I'm doing, I've always wanted to do this!! Time to make things go boom!"

This girl was way too excited to blow stuff  up, you stood up and went over to the table where Yuffie was working with the chemicals.You sat there waiting for Yuffie to make the explosion and hoping you yourself would not be blown into a million pieces. 

"Alright, here we go!" Yuffie exclaimed as she grabbed her improvised explosive and headed to the door,"Okay, as soon as we step outside the heartless will be all all over us."

"Yuffie, I'm pretty sure they are all out there we stand no chance!" You exclaimed as you stood up. Yuffie sighed and looked dejected, but not a minute later Yuffie had a mischievous smile overcome her face. 

"You're right, [Name], we won't get out by the door, help me push this shelf over," Yuffie said as she set down her explosives and went to the other side of the room where a shelf with numerous chemistry supplies were at. She knocked them all onto the floor to make the shelf easier to move. You went over to help her move the shelf,"We are gonna blow a hole in this wall! It's extremely thin so it'll be easy to break."

"You're shitting me,"  you told the dark haired girl who only gave you a smile and told you to stand back. Next thing you knew, the explosives were thrown at the wall and-

BOOM!

Small pieces of the wall came flying at the two of you and of course they hit the two of you. Yuffie still had one more of the explosives she had made. 

"I'm gonna open the door, and you are going to throw this at the heartless and then we are gonna run through that hole to the other room then try to go find somebody." Yuffie gave you the other explosive and made her way to the door. She opened the door slightly then fell back to where you were standing. Soon the heartless became pouring through. You threw the explosive at the heartless and as soon as contact was made, a huge flame started up. 

As soon as the flame engulfed the heartless, the two of you ran through the hole in the wall. The next room you wound up in was just another classroom. The two of you ran across the room as best as you could avoiding the desks that were scattered in the rooms. It was a failure though, since you ended up running into a desk hitting your hip with a sharp pain. You let out a small cry from the pain as Yuffie continued to urge you on to follow her. 

The two of you exited the room and began running down the hallway again, but Yuffie's makeshift bomb worked a little too well and the was an ocean of fire behind the two of you spreading like wild. 

"I think there's a fire exit coming up soon [Name]," Yuffie said as she grabbed your wrist and therefore making you stop staring at the fire and continue to the fire exit. Soon a small amount of light was visible at the end of the hallway which must be mean that was the exit, but as the two of you moved closer you saw a hunched over figure against the wall. Coming closer to the figure, the light color of pink was visible. 

"Coach Farron?" You asked and saw that the figure was indeed Coach Farron. Your coach looked up at the two of you and noticeable scratches were all over her face, and also her arms. She opened her mouth to speak and her breathing was ragged,

"I...tried to take them..so many," she stuttered while trying to stand up, which just caused her to slouch back down again. The two of you quickly helped her up and supported her, then headed out the emergency exit to the outside. 

After you three were a good distance away, you all slumped to the ground and looked back at the school which was being engulfed with the flame that the dark haired girl and you caused. In the distance you could see there were firefighters in front of the school that were scurrying around to put out the fire. You laid back onto the patch of grass the three of you laid back on and closed your eyes. 

"[Name]! Yuffie!" you heard a guy's voice yell. Opening your eyes, you sat up looking for the source of the voice. You saw two boys running towards you and they were none other than Sora and Riku. They ran over to the three of you helping Miss Farron up.

"We got to get you guys over by the firetrucks, there's a medical team waiting there, so let's head over there."

You all started heading towards the firetruck and Yuffie was already telling the two boys about the whole bomb thing that  pretty much destroyed the whole school instead of the intended target of the heartless. As Yuffie was blabbing away you couldn't help but shake the feeling of being watched. You looked back towards the emergency exit which smoke was coming out of now, and could have sworn you saw a figure standing there.

"Guys! Do you see that?" You asked turning back around to the group and quickly pointing toward the exit.

"What are you talking about?" Riku answered, "there's nothing there."

"I think the smoke may have gotten to you, [Name]" Sora said before talking to Yuffie about the explosive,"so what did you use Yuffie?"

Yuffie answered but you weren't listening, only thinking about the figure in the smoke you swore you saw.

Hey everyone! I'm back!! Hopefully! I know this chapter might suck a little bit, but it's been awhile. Between college and a new baby it's been soo busy, but since it's summer now I should hopefully start writing again. I just want to thank every one of my followers, for waiting and I'm thankful for my new followers also. I really want to get back to writing so hopefully I will be able too. But hopefully this chapter wasn't too boring or quick, I swear the next ones will be better. Thanks for reading hopefully there aren't too many errors!!!
