"I'll see you tomorrow Alan!" I yell out to my boss as I head out the front door of the Vet Clinic and into the cold air.
I rummage through my purse collecting my keys, rushing into my car and putting the heater on right away before backing out of the car park of the Clinic and heading straight home.

Once home, and showered I sat cross-legged on my bed waiting for my laptop to turn on. Apartment hunting is something that I need to do tonight, I have enough money saved from working at the Vet Clinic, and moving out of home is currently the top of my priority list. My college is in the same town I live in with my parents, and I only take two night classes a week, as the rest I do online, so anyone else would think my own place isn't too important, but moving out is something I need to do.
My parents are always arguing, my Dad works away from home a lot, it makes things stressful on their marriage, and we all know they need a divorce, but both of them are too stubborn to admit it, so it's constant bickering and arguing. I don't want to be around to see it fall apart. I'm 20 years old, it's about time I found my own place, even though the majority of the little friends I do have, still live at home with their parents, having their main focus on college, and staying home to save themselves money for when they finally graduate. That was least important to me right now, I was responsible and mature enough to manage.
After an hour of hunting down apartments, and making a few emails to different owners of apartments I'm interested in, it's nearing ten p.m. and the small argument that's been going on downstairs for the past two hours is getting louder and louder as the minutes slowly tick by.
I huff as I get up and head towards my closet before grabbing a jumper and throwing it on, along with a pair of joggers and my converse. Grabbing my journal and tucking it under my arm, I throw my phone and headphones in my pocket and make my way down the stairs.
I get to the front door and make my way outside, going unnoticed by my yelling parents in the kitchen. I throw my hood over my head, and my headphones in my ears as I make my way to the only place I truly feel at peace.
