2 years later.
Harry Styles.
Life is such a great thing, as young children we aspire to be something like a firefighter, a singer or work in the police force, we grow a little older, learn the wrongs and rights of life and the different things of the world and half of us change our mind of what we want to be when we grow older, and how we want our life to pan out.
I never changed my mind.
As a young child I was always around music, I was brought up around it, my dad had his own record label and produced music for a living, he always brought me along with him, he'd sit me on my knee and show me what he did and how everything worked. I was absolutely infatuated with it.
So when we got to school and teachers asked what we wanted to do when we were older, I always said I wanted to be just like my dad and do the wonderful things he does, making great music and make people feel all the different emotions from it. People always thought I'd change my mind, but I never did, it was such a big part of me.
Here I am today, 24 years old, sitting in the work room and listening to the vocals of the new band I'd just signed, editing the sound and adding the final touches for their new single.
I couldn't be happier, and I knew my dad would be so proud of me if he were here. He'd probably be sitting right beside me, helping me out, actually.
It took me a lot to get here, working with X Labels was great, I was there for an entire year before I saved up enough money, found the perfect place for a studio, I did it up completely and since then I've already signed three bands, it was a huge step for me but I'm glad I went through it.
Of course with the help of Alexis. She helped decorate the place and get the word out there.
I couldn't be more grateful for her.
She was working at an animal shelter, hand raising baby animals for a living. She absolutely loved it. This job also meant bringing home certain things sometimes, she just couldn't help herself. So now we were the proud owners of two kittens named Tiger and Phoenix. I wasn't complaining though, they were cute and I loved them.
My phone rang loudly, snapping me from my thoughts, I quickly answered it.
"Hello?" I asked, I hadn't even bothered to check the caller ID.
"Do you know what time it is?" Alexis.
"No idea, baby. I've had my head stuck in work."
"It's nine o'clock, please come home. I cooked us dinner, and I miss you" I smiled.
"I'll be right there" I said, we said goodbye, I saved my work, and packed everything up.
I got home in ten minutes, the studio wasn't far from our apartment. I took the stairs, two at a time, and walked through the front door, the smell of something delicious hitting my senses quickly.
"Alexis" I sang out, she popped her head out from the living room and walked into the kitchen where I was seated. She came up behind me and wrapped her arms around my neck, cuddling into me.
I turned my head to place a well needed kiss to her mouth, she smiled into it and kissed me back instantly.
She was wearing a ridiculous pyjama shirt that was bright yellow, and a pair of my boxers, I didn't care though, she always looked perfect, especially in my things.
Phoenix was by my feet so I picked her up and sat her on my lap, she purred into my chest and Alexis giggled softly.
"What smells so good?" I questioned. Alexis walked behind the counter and placed a bowl in front of me. Stir fry.
