After some intense rounds of love making the tiredness from the day's events caught onto them as they lay naked on their bed tangled in each other's embrace, bodies pressed close.
"Baby.." Yoko called out breaking the silence, her voice a gentle whisper and Faye hummed in response too tired to form any words.
"Let's get married." Yoko murmured against Faye's neck.
"We will, lots of work, lots of planning, we need to tell everyone." Faye spoke lazily, caressing Yoko's back with a hand.
"No, let's not tell anyone, we can tell them once we are married."
"What do you mean?" Faye asked, yawning as she tried to stay awake.
Yoko pulled back and propped on her elbows, "What I mean is that, we can do like a civil ceremony when we get the licence, you know I am not a big fan of weddings, as long as we're legally married it's fine for me so can we do that, baby?" She asked, batting her eyelashes like a puppy.
"Why do you always want to do things secretly?" Faye asked, her voice thick with sleep, her sleepy eyes sparkling with affection.
"Because secrets are fun and it's always perfect when it's just you and me with no one there to interrupt us." Yoko said while tracing Faye's eyebrow with her fingertips.
Faye eyes fluttered close. "Yeah, we can do whatever you want, we will discuss it tomorrow, can we sleep now?" She mumbled, her voice barely a whisper.
Yoko let out a chuckle at Faye's half asleep state. "So adorable." She whispered before placing a kiss on Faye's forehead and pulled the comforter over their bodies before settling next to Faye.
Well, that's how we got married, we actually got married exactly 2 years after meeting each other. Faye asked me if I wanted to get married on any specific date and I thought let's give this day some more meaning and it was only a few days later so we waited until july 3rd and got married without telling anyone.
Faye did all the arrangements and since we decided to do a civil ceremony, we took the licence and got married right then and there at the courthouse, it wasn't troublesome at all. And just like what we did when we started dating, we met our parents told them we got married and our friends they again got to know it from our social media posts.
The caption goes: Just wanted to let you guys know that we got married. Everyone was a little surprised at first, some thought we were pranking them but it is what it is, we had the marriage certificate so they had to believe us and they're all happy for us. Sometimes I feel bad for them, they are always getting to know things from social media.
Can't believe it's been 2 years since we got married, we had to get used to the word wife, it was fun the first few months every time Faye dropped me off or picked me up from the university someone would always ask me who she is, specially the new students and I would tell them 'she is my wife'.
The ones who knew Faye from her valedictory speech, whenever they talked about Faye they would use the term 'your girlfriend' and I always had to correct them. People also know Faye because of the cafes and she has gone kind of public, she is going to open another one.
The second one did so well, it was a great idea, I said that even before I knew it was Faye's and I know this one will do great too.
Jas and Sam got married a few months after us, when they found out we got married, they were like, we were supposed to get married before you and I was like, I thought the same but change of plans. Their wedding was big, very big, their families arranged it because all the business people were supposed to be there and all their relatives.
