"So, all the test results are back, I have studied it and I am happy to tell you that nothing was caught in those tests, you both are perfectly fine and ready." Dr. Lada said, her clasped hands resting on top of the desk, her tone professional but her eyes said how happy she is for her friend.

"I told you." Faye said narrowing her eyes at Yoko, who just rolled her eyes.

Dr. Lada cleared her throat, her tone changing to one of personal. "Okay, so, you can start having unprotected sex and we can't really say how long it's going to take for you to get pregnant, it's different for everyone, sometimes people get pregnant within weeks, sometimes it takes months, sometimes years. There aren't any tips to give to be honest, the 'having sex during ovulation' isn't needed because you said you have sex almost everyday." She said while both of them nodded in agreement.

"And don't look for symptoms because looking for them is like looking for disappointment because sometimes there isn't any symptom, it's a natural process and once you're pregnant you'll eventually know but it's a different thing when you know there's a life growing inside you, right?" She asked directing the question to Yoko, who responded with a small 'Yes' while nodding.

"Note those early pregnancy symptoms in your mind, so you know what's going on, take those home pregnancy tests if you think you are pregnant, a missed period would be a sign for you to take the test, once you know, you can come here to do a checkup." Faye listened carefully as Dr. Lada spoke.

"There's one more thing, even though you're fine, now it's important for you to take regular STI tests as you'll be having unprotected sex, do you understand me?" Dr. Lada asked and they both nodded.

"And you." Dr. Lada said turning to Faye. "Even though Yoko will be bearing the child you play a big role in this whole process of pregnancy, be there, she will need you more than it looks like, do you get it?"

"Yes, doc, thank you." Faye said, a grateful smile on her lips.

Once they got back to their apartment, Faye memorized every pregnancy symptom while Yoko made a lunch and they ate together. Now they're cuddling in their bed.

"What's wrong?" Faye asked as she noticed Yoko shifting in her arms.

"I don't know, just a little stressed I think," Yoko sighed. "Do you think I can do it?"

"Why? Are you afraid? What are you feeling? Tell me." Faye asked, tightening her hold on Yoko.

"What if I messed up? What if I made a mistake? What if I hurt the baby by mistake?" Yoko said before pulling away and propped on her elbows to look at Faye's face. "You won't leave me, will you?"

"No, why would I leave you?" Faye asked as she cupped Yoko's face with both hands. "And I will always be here with you, taking care of you and our baby, nothing will happen to the baby. Even if something happens, it'll be okay, we'll be okay and we can try again when you're ready. If you're not ready right now then we can try when you're, we don't have to hurry and if you're never ready, it's okay too, you're what matters more to me, not the baby that doesn't even exist."

Yoko's eyes glistened with unshed tears as she took in every word Faye uttered, her eyes so full of love and understanding, in that moment Yoko thanked the universe for giving her such an amazing partner.

"Don't cry, everything will be okay, nothing could ever make me leave you." Faye said while wiping the tears that rolled down Yoko's cheeks.

Yoko sat up and wiped her eyes with her hands before taking a few deep breaths with her eyes closed, Faye too sat up and rested her forehead against Yoko's. "Will you take a shower with me?" Yoko asked, opening her eyes to meet Faye's.
