We're back! Did you miss me, because I missed you! Lol Howdy friends!

Sorry for such a long wait with this one, I've been interviewing for a new job and I had my last two interviews this past week so I've been prepping like crazy! It worked out though because I got the call last night with an offer!!!! So thank you for the patience, I'm sorry there was such a delay, but I think this is a cute chapter so hopefully it makes up for it?? Let me know 😅

Also! Who was gonna tell me I've mentioned having a Tik Tok like 9 times?? I don't go back and read my author's notes so I'm sorry if it seemed like I was trying to promo it hella hard, I genuinely didn't know if I mentioned it. With the app probably getting shut down in the US I set up a discord incase anyone wants me to make like a chat room there for updates and just to chat? Let me know if that's something anyone is interested in.

Thursday morning came far too soon for Quinn's liking. She wasn't sure how late they had been up last night after their short nap on the couch, but if Quinn had to guess it was probably closer to 3am when she fell asleep. She opened her eyes slowly to adjust to the new brightness in the room only to find she was in her bed alone. Quinn sighed not fully surprised before flopping to her back and covering her eyes with her arm.

'Maybe she had something to do' though Quinn wasn't sure why Nika wouldn't wake her up before leaving if that was the case. A few seconds later she heard a door open somewhere else in her apartment and almost immediately after her bedroom door quietly opened and closed. She didn't move her arm from her eyes, but she did smile.

'Or she just had to go to the bathroom' Quinn kicked herself for not even considering it at first.

"Good morning" Quinn murmured.

"No, not yet" Nika groaned as she climbed back up in the bed and curled back into Quinn's side. She laid her head on Quinn's chest, wrapped an arm around Quinn's waist, and let out a content sigh. Quinn prayed Nika wasn't able to hear or feel her heart racing.

"Still tired?" Quinn asked wrapping her arm around Nika and starting to rub her back. The taller girl just nodded. "Didn't sleep well?"

"No, that's the best sleep I've had in days. That's why I'm trying to fall back asleep, and if you keep rubbing my back like that I will in no time" Nika nuzzled in a little closer and Quinn let out a small laugh.

"I'll keep doing it then" Quinn smiled enjoying a moment that even just a few weeks ago she wouldn't have even dreamed of. "Would it absolutely ruin it if I got up and ran to the bathroom really quick? If it will I will stay right here, but I think I can do this for you longer if I go now" Quinn looked down at Nika.

"No it won't ruin it" Nika shifted to look up at Quinn, a slight pout on her face and Quinn felt all of the butterflies start "but please actually be quick"

"I will be I promise" Quinn gave Nika a tight squeeze before Nika flopped on her back with a small groan. Quinn slipped off her bed and all but ran to the bathroom. She took a second to calm her breathing and slow her racing heart rate.
