Tim Bradford was known to be many things. Hardass, stickler for rules, vengeful, angry. Words like these had been tossed around tire...
A/N: it is here! I've had the worst month ever - I've been hospitalised, lay-ed off my job and lost someone close to me. So here's the chapter, apologies that it wasn't to the previous schedule.

Angela hit the floor quickly, as the bullet hit her chest. Tim could barely spare her a glance before the second round of bullets fired at them. He shot three rounds at the attackers before ducking down behind the car, pulling Angela behind him. As he moved her, she began to shift. Groaning, she tried to sit up, only to have Tim push her back to the ground. "Dude, what the hell?"
"You were shot," Tim deadpanned, almost in disbelief that he had to explain this to her. Only to be met with a matching look in return. "You know that, right?"
"Yeah, yeah, but that's why I wore a vest. I'm not a rookie, you know?" Angela lowered the collar of her shirt to show the best, with the bullet still lodged into the lining. Before she had time to continue, gunfire rang out again. She nodded towards Tim, the two wordlessly agreeing on a plan.
Tim launched himself up first, shooting at their attackers as he moved towards the drivers seat. Angela matched his movements on the other side of the vehicle. As soon as the passenger door shut behind her, Tim started the car and sped off down the road.
Despite many years on the job together, Angela had never seen Tim so calm. It was unnerving to watch. She was tempted to let them sit in silence, but her better judgement won out.
"They haven't followed us." She said, looking out of the back window. "Who even were those guys? You don't think that Dyer-"
"I don't really care who sent them more so than the fact that they are no longer trying to kill us." "Yeah, that is nice. Head back to the station; the other's are planning to meet us there." Lopez turned and sat back into the passenger seat before reaching into her back pocket, pulling her phone out. "Damn, the screen is broken."
Tim tried to keep his focus on the road; however, his thoughts kept being drawn away from himself. "How did she know that we were being watched?" Angela tapped on her phone screen. "She texted me: 'SOS, DON'T PANIC.' and then she said you were being watched. I havent heard from her since."
"Was that it?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Call the station; something isn't right." —----- Morgan kicked down the door, letting her years of training take over her instincts as she moved through the house. Quickly, she sweeped through each room, one by one, checking for any apparent threat.
It felt strange, being back in this house. What was once a home she was welcomed into with open arms had become a crime scene. For anyone else, it would have been hard seeing their home all but destroyed, but this was not the first time Morgan had been in this situation, and she knew that as long as Dyer was around, there would come another day where she would be back here. Broken glass covered the floor, wooden beams splintered and cracked, decorations which were once cared for broken and smashed to pieces. The ruins crunched under Morgan's feet as she moved back into the front living room.
Reaching into her back pocket, she pulled out her phone. She tried to text Tim, but was greeted by an automated message:
MESSAGE DID NOT SEND; PLEASE TRY AGAIN
With a sigh, she slid the phone back into her jeans before moving towards the door. Giving the home one last check over. Everything in Grey's home was destroyed and she didn't know how she would break the news.
It was only as she exited the home and slid back into her car did she notice anything out of the ordinary. On the passenger seat sat a folded piece of paper, Morgan's name written in elegant cursive on the top in a deep crimson ink. Slowly, she picked up the paper, and flicked open the note.
The inside held a simple message, this time the ink was pure black. There were only 3 words: Potter's Cafe. 7pm.
The sender didn't sign their name but they didn't have too. Morgan knew who sent it. Attaching the note into her glove box, Morgan glanced at the dashboard, checking the time. She had 42 minutes
