Chapter 5

Chapter 5 (Emily)

I dont remember when I actually fell asleep but I do remember the nightmare that I had.

I was running but he kept coming. His face was mushed into hate when he seen me fall. "Work," He had yelled and threw a mop and a bucket at me. I feared him and those words he would scream at me so I did work. But even as I worked he yelled at me. His list was coming true...

He had me clean and cooking and seperated from everyone, just like his list, that is why I said it was coming true. I was alone, or rather becoming alone. I had no one left but myself, and the work that kept me up most the night.

I imagened him laughing at everything I did. When I fell for lack of sleep, or when he would push me out of the way just to get a laugh. It was like he enjoyed my pain and I knew I was being abused, but there was nothing I could do. When I left messages to Bri, all she said was "It would fly by," but sadly she was wrong. It didn't 'fly by,' it only got worse. The pain got worse, and the abuse was only just beginning.

I remembered that by the first day I had black and blues in at least half of my body, and I could barely walk without falling over. He would not help me up, he would just laugh and yell at me for laying on the job. I regreted making him feel my pain, and I knew I could do nothing to stop him.

He was a stong grown man with evil in his eyes and all over him. I could feel it with every breath he took and every step he made. It was like when he took a step he burnt the wood below him. It was like flame but then again it was not. All I knew was that it was bad, he was bad.

I was only a sixteen year old girl with no ability to defeat him. If I tried I would die at his hands, and I knew that was not what was meant to be.

A little bit through the dream things took a turn and everything got worse. Instead of being in the castle, the place where everyone said was my home I was in Alex's hell. Much worse then any hell could be.

The room was big, and red with fire, and smelled horribly like death. There were black walls like wood that was burning, and fire beneath my feet. I could not feel it but I knew it was there. Alex and a older man where in the middle of this room, and there was also a young girl at about my age with red hair and green eyes in a corner closest to me, and when I tried to get close to her she screamed a deadly scream. It hurt my ears hearing her scream. It was like she was in pain and I felt bad for her and wanted to help but could not get close to her for it would hurt me more then it would her.

She kept screaming but soon I figured out she was tryin to tell me something, I asked her what it was she was trying to say and her answer was a blood curtiling "RUN!," but I would not move. It was not that I could not run it was because I did not want to run.

That's more like the time my dream became a nightmare. Alex showed up and so did this other man. The man from that night. I did not know who the man was but I did know that he was evil like Alex.

The guy was old, maybe in his late eighties with grey hair and red eyes just like Alex's eyes. Deadly eyes, death eyes. I hated those eyes.

I really did not know what to say to the man and I guess I did not have to becasue he was talking to Alex.

"You must kill her," the man was saying, "She can not live. It would be the death of both of us if she did."

"I know," Alex said, "and I won't let her live. By the end of this year she will be no more," But I could see in his eyes the fear he had that the girl he was talking about would still be around by the end of the year but he would not let the older man see this fear.

"Good," the older man said, "How is everyone toward her?"

Alex looked afraid to answer this, it was like his very answer would cause death so he did not answer. The older man did not like this and asked again with anger in his voice, "How is everyone else toward her?"
