Chapter 20 (Bri, September 6th)

It was two weeks from the day we would go against Alex, and things were getting really fishy and weird. At times Alex would be friendly toward us, trying to act as if nothing was wrong, pretend as if everything in the past had not even happened. I hated it. I think everyone hated it, but the younger kids.

Nick and Jeff now knew about everything, Emily and I had told them that very day. though I knew that Emily hated every minute of telling them. She did not want to tell them I could tell, but she did tell them, because I had asked. Maybe she was different then some of the others.

Nick and Jeff even said that they would be spies for us. Tell us everything that went down with Alex. I liked that about the two boys. They would help all they could, and know the story like what Derrick and I wanted, but they would also stay out of it a little, and just tell us what they knew when no one was around and be safe about it like what Emily and Amy wanted. In the end if you ask me everyone was happy.

At night they would tell us everything they could. Alex refused to talk about anything infront of Derrick, Emily and I, so they were actually all we had left with telling us information.

This night both the boys told us that Alex was planning on taking everyone out for ice cream, though I had no idea how that would work. He was probably planning on stealing the ice cream or having the kids do it for him. The boys wanted to know if they could go, and of course we told them that they could. They said they would find out whatever they could while they were with him, and we told them that they had to be careful.

Later that night they all left leaving Emily, Derrick, Amy and I alone. At least there was one good thing about that, we could hopefully tell Angel of what we knew, if she would talk to Derrick and I.

Thankfully luck was on our side that day. The minute that Alex had left with all the kids she just showed up infront of us. We talked for a little while about how Alex was trying everything that he could to actually get the kids on his side, and that we had two of our own spies helping us.

She asked who and we had to tell her Nick and Jeff. I don't really know if she actually liked that idea but she went with it in the end.

Then we began to talk about more of our plans and Alex. Sometimes she would say if she liked the idea or not other times she would say nothing, it was like a time where we would never know for real what she was thinking, and that is where we were at this very moment in time. Talking more about our plans and Alex.

"What more has Alex done?" Angel asked out of the blue. It was kind of a good timing if you ask me, everyone just seemed to not want to talk anymore, or they just had no idea what to talk about.

"Just what we had told you. He just keeps trying to be friendly to everyone, sometimes even us," Emily said, "No one really likes it."

"Well I would think so," Angel said, then she was silent. She was usually the first to go silent in the conversations, but this time she just jumped back in as if nothing was going through her mind, "Where is he by the way?"

"He took everyone but us out fo ice cream." I said, "So really all the younger kids, plus our two spies Nick and Jeff are with him."

Angel nodded, "Good, then we have a bit of time to talk I see."

"Yes, we do actually," Amy said, "It has been a while actually."

"Yes," Angel said, "I realize that."

Amy just nodded, "Is there anything else you would like to know?"

"Actually there is," Angel said looking at Emily, "How are you doing with everything?" She asked.
