GABRIELLE
THE SUN was currently playing hide and seek with the world. The thick bank of clouds that permeated the sky made it impossible for any shaft of the sun to peek through, though the silver glow that bathed the surroundings was enough for me to see who was standing at the corner of our college building, looking dark and brooding- as always.
My lips parted as I stared at Zerachiel Singson. He was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt that rolled up to his elbow, showing off the veins that corded through his strong and thick forearms. The bruise on his face was no longer visible, and I still had no idea where he got it. Gusto ko sanang itanong sa kaniya ngunit ayaw ko na isipin niya na may malasakit ako sa kaniya.
My chest tightened as I walked toward our building. No matter how much I wanted to avoid him, I couldn't. Aside from the fact that we were taking the same course, we were also attending the same subject this morning. It had been two days since that happened, and I was trying my best not to cross any path with him- which I thought was futile.
He still could see me. He planted secret cameras in my room. I tried looking for them at any possible location, but I couldn't locate even one. Should I report it to the authorities? That was what I should do, but a part of me stopped me from doing so. I liked the idea of being watched by him. It was sick and twisted- certainly not normal to fetishize something disturbing, but my body wanted it. Whatever thoughts ran through my mind always contradicted the natural and authentic reaction of my body when it came to Zerachiel.
The man I so wanted to avoid walked toward me, meeting me halfway. He seemed impatient as he looked at me with his brooding eyes. I knew he was mad at me for ignoring his calls and text messages.
As he was walking toward me. Dark thoughts consumed my head as the looming image of the only person who could create chaos inside of me neared me. With the silver glow poured from the glaring bank of clouds, Zerachiel looked ethereal. With the thick brows fringed above the dark and long lashes that framed his dark and obscene eyes, I knew this man was on a mission.
"You are avoiding me," he stated- it wasn't even a question, it was bluntly stated.
He knew.
Of course. He was Zerachiel Singson. He knew what was happening around him.
Hindi ako sumagot. Maraming mga salita ang naglalaro sa isip ko ngunit ayaw kong ilabas ito. Some things were better off unsaid. Zerachiel was in a foul mood, and I didn't want to escalate this further.
"H-hindi kita iniiwasan,"
He clenched his jaw, his eyes were still dark and brooding, "Nice try,"
Kinagat ko ang aking pang-ibabang labi at maglalakad na sana nang bigla niyang hinawakan ang aking braso para pigilan sa pag-alis. My heartbeat skyrocketed, and my body started to buzz with something forbidden. This wasn't right. Every reaction my body evoked every time he was around was not right.
"Stop ignoring me,"
"H-hindi nga kita iniiwasan, Zera . . ." I looked at his fingers wrapped around my arm, "Let go, may klase pa tayo,"
He moved closer, pressing his body against my back. My eyes widened when I felt something poking my butt. He slowly snaked his arm around my waist, sensually grazing his lips from the back of my neck to my sensitive earlobe.
"You have no idea how crazy you made me after that night," He nipped on my ear, and a soft moan flew off my slightly parted lips, "You have no right to keep something away from me- something that belongs to me, little butterfly,"
I am not your property, I mentally chided. I wanted to yell that to him- to tell him that I was a woman with free will. I was not a property to own, let alone be owned by someone like Zerachiel Singson.
