CHAPTER 8
Nathan paced back and forth in his kitchen trying to figure out exactly what happened last night.
All he knew was somehow, Amarah's body had come to get him but she still had those terrifying white eyes. Then, somewhere along the way to the house, Nathan must have passed out although he was shocked to see he had no scratches of bruises considering he was dragged almost eight miles. When Nathan was in the house he had seen Amarah but not with white eyes, with normal ones. How was this possible? Nathan wanted to know how
Every time Nathan had seen Amarah since the incident three years ago, her eyes had been white, almost as if she had been possessed....but when he saw her last night, her eyes had been normal, she had talked to him....
Maybe that was it...Amarah was possessed. But what could be possessing her? Something that was living in the house? Could it be some type of spirit that had been reported in the house? Did that mean the paranormal existed? It had to, what else could explain what happened to Amarah?
Well if she was being possessed by some sort of spirit then how did she seem fine last night when she talked to Nathan? And why when, she tried to leave the house, get those white eyes again?
Well, if she was possessed her own mind must still be in there somewhere...maybe her mind over powered the spirit...well, no that wasn't it because if Amarah's mind overpowered the spirit then the spirit wouldn't be able to control her, which it was.
Maybe every so often, Amarah's mind grew strong enough to overpower the spirit and that's how she talked to him and went and got him the other night.
That had to be it
But what was Nathan going to do with all of this information? Who could he tell?
The police! They could do something about this! Now that they had more information about Amarah maybe they could get her back!
Excitedly, Nathan grabbed his jacked and car keys and hurriedly drove to the police station
An hour later, Nathan burst through the door of the police station panting heavily
"Can I help you?" the lady sitting at the front desk asked
"Yes, I need to talk to one of the officers who worked on the case of Amarah VanPell"
The lady looked at him with a bored expression, stood up out of her seat and went to a giant filing cabinet. She opened it and pulled out a big brown file
She walked lazily back to her desk and plopped the folder down on the counter. She opened it and gazed through before picking up a phone and putting it to her ear
"Can I please get officer Grubs and Johnson to come to the front please? There's a boy here who wants to talk to them about a case"
Nathan could hear what was said on the other side of the conversation
"Thank you"
The lady hung up the phone and turned to Nathan
"The two officers will be here momentarily, in the mean time, you can wait in that room over there" She gestured to a small room with a table and two chairs
Nathan went to the room and sat down in one of the chairs
About five minutes later, two officers walked in. One had short brown hair and was a little on the chubby side. The other had blonde hair and was tall and lanky
