One Year later

Alicendria was eight months pregnant now, a miracle, her pregnancy beginning to show clearly in the curve of her stomach. She stood on Bloodstone cliffs, watching as the waves crashing against the rocks below her, her thoughts distant and preoccupied.

Suddenly, movement in the sky caught her eye, her gaze lifting to the sky to see a familiar dragon on the horizon. She squinted her eyes against the setting sun, trying to make out the rider atop the dragon's back. As the dragon grew closer, however, Alicendria's eyes widened in shock as she recognized the sight of Meraxes in the sky, her heart beginning to pound in her chest.

"Guards, Alert the Prince Consort that there is a dragon in the sky and he must look who is riding Meraxes." Alicendria commanded

The guards, who had been stationed nearby, immediately sprang into action at Alicendria's command. They scattered in all directions, racing to spread the news and alert Gwayne. Alicendria turned back, her gaze fixed on the approaching dragon, her heart beating in her chest.

As Meraxes grew closer, Alicendria could just make out the familiar figure riding the dragon's back. She took a deep breath, her heart hammering in her chest in anticipation. She was almost certain she knew who it was, but she dared not hope...

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Meraxes landed softly on the ground, the dragon's scales shining in the glowing sunlight. The rider dismounted from the saddle and started moving towards Alicendria, her eyes fixed on the woman waiting anxiously.

Alicendria swallowed hard, her hands trembling as she waited for the woman to come closer. Her eyes roved over her, taking in the familiar sight of long, brown hair. As the woman approached, Alicendria saw the face that confirmed what her heart already knew.

Alicendria felt Gwayne's presence before she saw him, her heart skipping a beat as he appeared next to her, his eye fixed on the woman approaching them.
