𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬Aurora unlocked the door to the new home that Tommy had promised her and Finn. The pair walked inside and Aurora had a wide smile on her lips. "I love it.." she spoke. Finn looked around the hallway and hummed in agreement. "Tommy's done well." He said.
"For once.." Rory whispered.
She ran her hands over the dark wooden doors and let out a breath. "Finally a bit of piece." She turned to Finn. He nodded. "I hope so." He agreed.
Rory was the first of the two to go upstairs, Finn close behind her. They looked in each room. There were two main bedrooms and a second office upstairs. Finn was busy admiring the office when he heard Aurora gasp. He frowned and joined her side.
She pushed the door open further to show him the fully decorated nursery. "Tommy did this?" He asked. She nodded slowly and placed a hand on her stomach. "It was him who got us the house.." she whispered. "Oh my.." Aurora stepped fully into the room and admired the details.
It had everything they would need for their child.
"I can't believe it." Finn laughed. "It's really ours?"Aurora spun round and grinned widely at him. "It's really ours, Finny." She hung her arms loosely around the back of his neck and placed a kiss on his cheek. "It'll be just me, you and the baby. Maybe we'll finally find some peace."
"That would be a miracle, Rory." He said quietly.
"Sometimes miracles come true."
Finn ran his hands over the wooden drawers that sat against the wall — many thoughts rushing through his mind. He bit down on the inside of his cheek and inhaled sharply. "Are you.. ready for all of this?" He asked for, not turning to face her.
Aurora paused to take in his words and thought for a moment. "The baby?"
"Yeah..." he looked at her. "Do you think we're ready to be parents?" He fiddled with his hands as he began to worry that she would snap at him.
"I think that it wouldn't have happened if we were not ready for it." She offered the explanation and watched his face soften ever so slightly. "Do you not want this?" She asked with worry.
"It's not that I don't want it.. i'm just— i'm scared." He admitted. Aurora picked up a small, knitted rabbit teddy and handed it to him. "This child can be our new start. A reason for us to be better." She said. Finn nodded. "What if i'm not a good dad?"
"Nonsense, Finn. I think you'll be brilliant." Aurora held the side of his neck and spoke genuinely.
"You're sure?" Finn swallowed.
"If I wasn't sure, would we be stood here having this conversation?" She asked him. He shrugged. "No, we wouldn't."

Rory sat comfortably at the table opposite Lizzie and when suddenly the door slammed. They all turned their heads toward the footsteps approaching and much to their surprise, Linda was walking through the shop.
"Said to Arthur while i'm in this fucking place I want something to keep my mind busy." Linda hung her coat over her chair and didn't even look at them.
