"Next on, any American broadcasting channel viewed by most of the population, but for simpleton's sake, it's called "The Bad and The Good", The Andersons."

A woman was washing up at a sink, her hair tied back, something warming in the oven, a small child off school sick, or so his mother thinks, clinging onto her legs wrapped in a blanket.

As the woman moves, she takes wide steps to avoid tripping over her child.

"Sam, are you sure you can't attend school tomorrow?"

The young boy shook his head, pushed against his mother's leg, ducking his head down,

Sam Anderson, in bold text, scrolled across the screen, held in a still frame; the text ended with the announcement that he was the brother,

"Well, I guess one more day couldn't hurt."

Turning as the door unlocks, a teenager walks into the house ruff and tumbled, just the look of a suburban teen with two parents and a nice house yet has had to "struggle" all their life waiting for their come up.

He dumps his bags on the sofa, not bothering with greetings.

"Ron shoes", his mother reminded him.

Ignoring her, Ron disappears upstairs in a flurry of stomping steps,

"Kids, what can you do?" the woman turns back to the sink, a shrug on her shoulders.

The boy's shoes come tumbling down the stairs in a heap at her feet.

Text appeared superimposed on the screen, reading Jess Anderson: The Mother.

A music track played loudly, silencing any other noise as Jess hastily set the table.

Sam was sitting down, clanging his knife and fork on the table, digging in as soon as Jess slipped his plate underneath him.

When Jess looked at Sam in doubt, he sneezed comically.

Sitting down opposite Sam at the side of the table.

The screen freezes.

The title sequence commences.

A camera sweeps across the live studio audience as they clap and scream.

The actors playing Ron, Sam and Jess wave at the audience from their spots at the table or in Ron's actor's case, the camera pans upward toward the staircase, and just a hand is seen peaking out from the corner in a wave.

Getting back into position, they started the show.

Waiting for the audience to stop clapping, Jess spoke.

"Dinner!" she yelled, ignored.

"Go get your brother for me", she told Sam.

"But mom-"

"Sounding much better", Jess teased.

"Ron", Sam interrupted as he ran up the stairs, leaving his chair untucked.

Ron came downstairs, his bare feet slapping on the hardwood.

Sam carried in his arms as the young boy squirmed away returning to the table.

Pulling up his chair at the head of the table.

"Thanks, Mom," he said before digging in.
