As stars fade and try
And as I wake up with a sigh
On a wicked world where I lie
On a world where the sun's shy
Where birds do not sing
Nor flowers that bloom in spring
Where giants roar yet sink
Into taverns of fear and dark that seep
And with silent breaths
Against the harsh deaths
I seek solace; to not fret
And with wide arms I embrace lethe
To a world dark and stark
Where sand like shattered glass
And joy fleeting far
