Nightcrawler

Denial Pt.4

As Superboy, Aqualad, Miss Martian, and Nightcrawler walk through the door they appear on a ceiling. Before Aqualad and Superboy could fall, Nightcrawler grabbed then and teleported them down onto the floor below. Miss Martian levitates down after them. 

"Friends if yours?" Nightcrawler hears as Artemis comes running towards them as electricity zaps behind her. As a Blue bolt is shot right towards them the Team dodged the blue electricity. 

Nightcrawler was beginning to get tired, he had been teleporting to dodge the onslaught of attacks and the fatigue was catching up with him. Aqualad and Superboy where trapped in a cage of electricity. Miss Martian was doing her best to deflect the electric blots thrown at her. And Artemis was shooting arrows at their enemy 'Kadabra'. But they could only hold on for a limited amount of time. 

Kid Flash watches as Nightcrawler was hit by an bolt of electricity before getting trapped in a cage along with Artemis. Gritting his teeth he watches helplessly as Miss Martian is eventually also trapped. 

"A test of fate." He says looking at Kent before turning towards the Helmet of Fate

"Kai-Kai!" Artemis yells through the pain as she shakes Nightcrawlers limp body. She had see the Electricity bolt hit him before getting trapped with her. And now in the cage they are being shocked over and over again. 

Artemis and the others cry out in pain as Kadabra raises his wand once more, before Fate's symbol appears behind him as he is then stripped to his underwear. "Wha?" He questions as Superboy stands up. 

"Show's over." He says before punching Kadabra in the face. "Is he breathing?" Aqualad asks towards Artemis as he stands. 

Artemis moves down to see is Nightcrawler was still breathing. As her face gets close she can feel the soft breaths of Nightcrawler. They were slow and shallow but he was breathing nonetheless.

"Yes." She calls out in relief. "He's still breathing." Everyone lets out a sigh of relief. That much electricity to the body could not be good but he was fine.   

Kai was sat in the infirmary at the cave for what felt like the 100th time since her joined the team. His fur was sticking up making him look like a blue Pomeranian. 'God he hated electricity.' 

He was slightly glad the Black Canary was on a mission and not here. For she would be giving him an earful about always getting injured during missions. But it was not his fault that he happen to have bad luck and was accident prone. Plus as she said before. 'It comes with the Job'

But if he told her that he would most likely get smacked upside the head for using her own words against her. as he was busy thinking about what to say to Black Canary, he didn't notice when Wally came into the room. Until he cleared his throat. Snapping his head towards the read-head his brows frowned.

"Uh, can I talk to you?" He asks as he rubs the back of his neck. 

"I don't know. Does my religion and Blueness still bother you?" Kai asks raising a brow as Wally flinches at his tone. 

"I just wanted to apologize form my words earlier today, I was out of line. I know my words can be hurtful so- I'm really sorry." Wally says closing his eyes waiting to see if he might get punched or something. But nothing came. Opening his eyes he says Kai just sitting there staring at him.

"It wasn't you words that hurt me." Kai admits 

"Really?" Wally asks confused.

"Don't get me wrong what you said wasn't okay, but-" Kai begins as he stands up to fully look at Wally. " I got hurt because it was you who said it. Wally, I'm use to hurtful, and degrading words begin thrown at me, by people who saw me as a money maker, or people who thought I was devil born. But the thing about those people where they didn't care for me like I didn't care for them but- But you Wally are my teammate, my friend. And since it was you who said those things about me it hurt me more then when a stranger who doesn't know would say things like that. 

"I was just heated in the moment Artemis-"

"I understand Artemis brought me into the conversation. And I understand that when people are in a heated argument they might say thing they didn't mean. But you used me as an example to prove you where right meaning you truly believe me to be a religious blue nut freak." Kai says as he stares directly into Wally's eyes. Wally opens his mouth before closing it not knowing what to say.

"I forgive you Wally. I really do, because you came and apologized to me. But you hurt my feelings, and I'm allowed to be hurt. I may forgive you but I won't forget what you said." Kai says as he begins to walk out the door beside Wally who stood frozen. "Bye." Was the last thing Kai said before leaving the infirmary as he heads to the Zeta Tube so he can get home a lay down.

I hated writing the fight scene since, the whole fight was mostly
 Dr.Fate (Wally) vs. Klarion
Kai gets a little break next chapter
