Tara's POV
Nathan saw blood on his hands. He looked at his surroundings, even to me. He ran outside the gym after he realized what happened or what he did there.
"Tara.." Rose called as she held my hand. I paused and looked at her. "Where you going?" She asked.
"I..I have to go.." I said in a rush.
"Go where?" She asked, looking confused.
"I really have to.. I'll see you later!!" I pulled away and ran outside.
As I went outside, I saw him far away running. I followed him even though it was quite tiring. I took a seat on the bleachers as we passed by the soccer field. I rested for a while and caught my breath as he continued on running until he went to the forest outside the field.
"Damn how could he run that far" I wondered, wiping my sweat off with my hands.
Later, I went to check the forest. I went through the bushes and thin spiky branches along the way. I then heard Nathan's voice somewhere near. I followed and looked for it until I saw him in the middle of the area, sitting on a bench.
He looked like he was thinking a lot of things. I could see a tear drop running down on his cheek.
He wiped it with his bloody hands though.
"Nathan.." I called, catching my breath.
He stood up with his back facing me. I could see his fists crumpled. I stepped back, brushing the ground with my shoes as he gave that kind of reaction.
"Why did you follow me here" He whispered. He finally turned to face me and saw blood on his face. I turned around and swallowed my saliva, kinda terrified to look at him..
"I...I was worried what would happen to you so I followed you here.." I answered.
"Why aren't you facing me?" He asked.
I changed course and spoke up, "You got blood on your face." I said, pointing to his right cheek.
He wiped it with his hands but just made it worse. Without hesitation, I pulled out my handkerchief from my pocket. I grabbed his hand and wiped the blood off.
"You do your face.." I said, giving him the hanky. He took it and cleaned some blood on his cheek.
"Uh..thanks" He stated, handing it back to me.
"Oh no! no! It's yours now..keep it. It has all your blood on it anyway." I scratched my head.
There was a small blood on the tip or curve of his eye. I wiped it off gently with my thumb as the breeze was passing in timing. The color of his eye suddenly turned lighter as I touched the side of it.
And I thought it was just my illusion.
"You missed a spot" I reasoned, looking at my thumb and wiping it off on my jeans.
He suddenly fell down which made me gasp and knelt down to him.
"Ugh.. my head hurts.." He reacted, holding his forehead.
"Are you okay?" I said worriedly, rubbing his back. He looked up to me. His eyes were brighter than ever (light blue or teal). I fell down as I notice an obvious change from his eye color.
What happened to his eyes?!
Out of the blue, his mouth shifted into a smile...
