"Hey, Riva! Riva, wake up!" I shook her gently, but she remained unresponsive.

Just then, a slurred voice interrupted me. "Who are you? Leave her!" It was the same man who had grabbed Riva's hands earlier.

I sized him up quickly. He was either incredibly brave or utterly foolish to think he could attack Riva within the Randhawa Palace grounds.

The man stumbled towards me, his eyes fixed on Riva. I could smell the stench of alcohol on his breath as he shouted, "Leave her, she's mine!"

I took a deliberate step back, holding Riva securely in my arms. The man's hands paused mid-air, and for a moment, we locked eyes.

"It's none of your business, Mr.," he said "Just leave us alone."

He tried to intimidate me with a childish glare, but I stood my ground. Reasoning with a drunken man was futile, so I scooped Riva up in my arms and strode towards the restaurant.

The man was surprisingly brazen, chasing after me and shouting obscenities. I quickened my pace, eager to escape the scene.

"Guards! Make sure to throw this trash in the trash bin." I instructed the guards standing at the lobby gate. They were all looking between me, Riva, and the man who had been chasing us, but I didn't need to explain everything.

I took Riva to one of the rooms reserved for guests. As I walked, I felt people's eyes following me everywhere. I just hoped I wouldn't catch the media's attention.

After placing her in bed, I decided to call Vritika to help Riva. I didn't think it was a good idea to leave her alone in a new place, but she didn't answer, even after the fourth ring.

I pondered for a moment about whom to call next. After a long, internal battle, I decided to call Ava, and surprisingly, she answered.

"What new truth is waiting for me?" she asked cockily.

This was going to be harder than I thought. I began weighing the consequences of my words, remembering how she hadn't forgiven me in the hospital. Why did I have to deal with all of this?

"I'm waiting!" Ava's voice thundered through the phone.

"Uhmm... Your friend is unconscious. I don't know how to wake her up!" I explained, rubbing the back of my neck.

"Which friend?" Ava's tone turned serious.

"Riva," I replied.

Ava let out a long sigh before asking, "Where are you?"

"In the hotel suite. Room number 5005," I answered.

The line went dead as Ava ended the call abruptly.
