I joined the others in preparing for the sangeet function, swiftly wrapping up the mehendi setup.
With a tight timeline, we hastily readied the new venue, a different part of the palace, as the mehendi ceremony concluded at 7 and the sangeet was scheduled to begin at 10, promising a late-night extravaganza. By 9:30, we were all set. Since it was an intimate family gathering, we didn't need to fuss over elaborate details.
We quickly retreated to our rooms to change and get ready.
