Part III Section 26-Dumb Luck

December 5th, 2030, 2:43 P.M BlessedLands County California

Josh sat there cuddling Kieran tightly as he got the food prepared for him. He sang to himself as he sat Kieran down in a seat that held him up and prepared to feed him.

Meanwhile... Almon sat there in his room, he was working on an old Piano that was in the old house from years ago. He worked extra hard in cleaning and tuning it out. Hours went by as he finally finished and sat down to take a breather. He began playing a few notes to test it out. The sound perfectly dense, smoothly riding through his ears. Happy with his work he stood up and brushed off some of the dust lingering on it. He went into the other room and sat down on the couch looking off into the distance he began to question his life and who he's become.

August 5th, 2021, Plainfield Connecticut 8:00 A.M

Almon laid there staring at the wall waiting for his energy to blast through his body making it so he can get up easier, Almon's door opens as Charlie stood in the doorway. "You have school soon is it Online again this year like the end of last year" Charlie asked. "Yeah probably but that's not until August like 20th or something" Almon said as he stood up. "Your mother texted me, she said text her" Charlie said as he closed the door. Almon rubbed his eyes and picked up his phone on the bedside. He looked through his messages. Courtney texted him a few times leaving kissing emojis saying *I Miss You* his mother had also texted *Call me I want to see you today maybe go out to lunch with Louis and your siblings if possible* Almon opened his phone and texted Courtney back *I love you and miss you as well* the text said as he sent it, he then opened his mothers messages. *Sure just let me know a time* Almon answered back and sent the message. The message began pending then sent. Almon sat there in his room looking around. He got up went towards the closet and began putting some clothes on. He wore a red shirt with jeans and his golden chain with a Lion on it that had Diamond shaped Eyes. He wore his Shoes and opened the door, he then walked downstairs and towards his father. "Dad I'm going to Noah's house for a little to see what he's up too is that okay" Almon asked. "Sure" Charlie said as he unhung all the Weed plants that were hanging in the Garage like Area. Almon out of excitement thanked him and then began running towards the front door and outside. He walked down the road towards Noah's house and into the apartment complexes. He walked over towards Noah's house and went inside the first door. Inside were 4 other doors leading to different apartments including Noah's. Almon walked over to the first door on the right hand side and opened it. Noah doing the dishes stood there. "Yo" Noah said as he continued the dishes. "Yo, what are you up to want to head over to my house for a little until I go see my mom today" Almon asked. "No sorry I have to stay and watch Elijah today he's coming in like 1 hour" Noah said. "Want to go smoke a joint with me outside" Almon asked "sure hold on broski" Noah answered as he finished up the dishes put the cloth down on the faucet and sponge on the side of the sink. He then wiped his hands on the washcloth that was hanging up right above the trash. They both proceeded outside. "I got my Fire 1 and 2 certificates and passed all my EMT requirements broski I'm officially a firefighter I can go into fires and more" Noah said excitedly. "That's F****** Amazing bro seriously we need to celebrate" Almon said excitedly, "we can hang tight" Noah said as he ran inside. Almon while waiting lit the joint and began puffing it. Noah came outside with a torch and a big Cigar, "I've been saving this for an accomplishment like this" Noah said laughing. "I seen this Nun movie on TV probably the scariest and best thing I've watched in a long time" Noah said as he lit the cigar and began puffing it. "Oh yeah doesn't sound scary what's scary about a nun" Almon said laughing. Noah looked at him, "a lot" Noah said as he handed him the cigar and took the joint. "Yo have you caught up on the latest seasons The Walking Dead yet" Almon asked. "Not yet honestly more into this other show it's like a Sitcom kind of" Noah said as he puffed the joint and they both switched again. "A lot of people hate the newer seasons but I honestly like them there pretty decent for it taking in new writers" Almon said. "Yeah anything can be if you like and enjoy the characters" Noah answered. "There's this other show about Cordycepts and fungi that's coming out in a while apparently I don't know when but could be the next two years it's based off a video game and I watched videos on that and it seems very interesting" Almon said as he puffed the joint a few more times then stomped on the roach. Almon and Noah continued smoking the cigar talking about life. Noah's pager went off "let's go broski your coming with for this" Noah said as both Almon and Noah rushed to the Car. Noah and Almon got in as Noah pressed the key into the ignition and started the car. The car began to drive towards the fire station down the road. Noah quickly stopped the car in the fire station and shut the car off "will you be okay to wait here until I'm back" Noah said quickly. "What's it for" Almon asked. "A structure fire with multiple people injured" Noah answered as he quickly exited the car and ran into the fire-station. He quickly got into all his gear and loaded up on truck with everyone else. Everyone was in the firetruck. One of the firefighters yells "Let's do this" as the firetruck sped off quickly driving towards the incident. The chief ordered one of the trucks with Noah included to run inside and save anyone they can fast. Noah and a few others ran inside, "this is the Plainfield fire department if you can hear us call out" one of the firemen yelled. A Child and a mother were standing in one of the rooms as the mother yelled out. Noah hearing the yell ran into the room and lifted the child then began helping the woman out as the other firemen helped others called from other rooms requiring the firefighters to go there. "Confirm Noah are you there what's happening" No answer. "James Confirm" The chief said as he again got no answer. "What's is happening can anyone confirm" the chief said again as he prepared to go in from no one responding. Just as he went to go in Noah came out with the Mother and Son bringing them quickly towards the Ambulance stationed nearby. The other firefighters also came out with there people helping them towards the ambulance as well. The chief then confirmed the team to get rid of the fire. They all began taking down the fire with blasting it with there Hose. The fire slowly died down then disappeared. "Confirm fire is fully resolved all active units report back to the station" the chief said on the Radio as they all cleaned and loaded up there truck. The firetrucks all began heading back. Almon sat there in the car on his phone swiping through photos and videos, the firetrucks began pulling back in quickly coming to a stop. Noah got out with some of his gear still on. He came towards the car "dude that was F****** Awesome" Noah said as he closed the door and proceeded to go inside the station. Noah got all his stuff squared away and came back to the car got inside started the car put the AC on and drove back to his house.

December 5th, 3:00 P.M, 2030, BlessedLands County California

Almon sat there smiling as he stood up and walked outside the house Courtney upstairs with Grayson. Almon walked over towards Noah who was talking to Lilly. "Hey" Almon said laughing. "Hey, what's so funny" Noah said "nothing just remembered a" Almon was cutoff by the sound of a gunshot. Both Almon and Noah Jumped. "Woah what was" Noah said as Lilly Dropped to the ground blood coming from her stomach as a bullet entered inside. She gasped for breathe as the blood oozed out slowly. "NO ARE YOU SERIOUS" Noah screamed as he lifted her up "I'm going to run her to the hospital figure out what the Hell is going on" Noah said yelling in anger. Almon ran over towards the gates where Jade was "you okay Jade what is that" Almon yelled up "yes I'm okay, someone has a sniper rifle somewhere idk where but there over in one of the trees I think high enough to see inside I'm trying to scope them out" Jade said as he had the sniper held above the wall and he was looking through the scope. Almon climbed up "is there another rifle for me" Almon said "yes come up quietly I don't think he sees me" Jade spoke. Almon climbed up and grabbed the rifle that sat next to Jade. Almon then pointed it outwards looking for any signs of anyone. "Down here" Sylvie said in anger. Both Almon and Jade looked down quickly. "I don't care who you guys think you are, but if you think you can kidnap my sister after making her watch our father die you are in for a world of S***" Sylvie said. "No one kidnapped your sister" Almon said "that's not what it sounds like at all actually" Sylvie said menacingly. Sylvie picked up her shot gun and shot the locks off the chain of the gates. Causing the lock to quickly break. "You will be shot if you enter" Almon yelled as he was shot directly in his face from the distance by the sniper. He fell backwards and onto the ground. The impact of his back hitting the ground sparked pains throughout his whole body. Jade in shock turned to look then got down below the wall. Almon laid there as he felt the side of his cheek realizing he was grazed. He stood up quickly and tried running towards the wall to hide before he was seen. His back in lots of pain as he dragged himself there. "You guys don't threaten me" Sylvie said as the IZC began rushing into the town.

Eric's eyes opened slowly as the machines made noise. He looked around the room. He looked at his machines. He began taking everything off his body and standing up. The dizziness from his body caused him to fall over. He shook his head trying to see clearly. His eyes focused and he stood up. Gunshot sounds went off as Eric looked around the room he found his clothes on the chair and immediately put them on. His pistol was on the table next to the chair. He grabbed that quickly and began running outside. He seen Almon hiding and Sylvie walking into the gates. A few of the IZC members began rushing in. Eric ran quickly towards the gates aimed his gun and repeated to shoot all of them. Sylvie standing there blood all over her  from her dead Soldiers. "What have you, are you serious ARE YOU" Sylvie was cut off by the gunshot to her head causing her to drop on the ground flat. Eric slowly dropped the pistol down putting it in its Holster. "Eric nooooo that was Emily's sister, I mean thank you but that little girl is crazy we need to lock this gate now and bury these bodies not with our own we will do it away from here" Almon said quickly as he limped over towards one of them. Noah ran outside towards Almon "I got her in stable condition and she's good anything I can help with" Noah asked. Noah looked at Eric slowly trying to gather his thoughts "what the F***"  Noah said in shock "Yeah help us bring these bodies somewhere and bury them" Almon said as they all began loading the bodies up into the one working car. Noah and Almon both drove out the town as the gates were closed behind them. Eric took a few breaths realizing he's okay and able to move and fine, but confused on what happened or why he was in the hospital.
