Part III Section 24-Death Comes Knocking

November 3rd, 12:43 A.M, 2030 Blessed land county California

Josh laid in bed staring at Kieran rubbing his head. "I love you sweet boy" Josh said smiling hard. Gunshots went off startling Josh.

Almon gasping for air, noah laying on the ground blood oozing from his stomach, he rolled and began crawling towards Almon "yo just breathe" Noah wheezed out as Courtney walked out the front door of Almons house. Standing there she went up to Almon and Noah and used her metal arm to hold up Almon as she helped Noah up Jade hearing the gunshots ran towards Almon and Noah's aid as well. "Where is Hamlin" Jade asked Noah. "Dead" Noah said trying to catch his breath. Jade looked up then back at Noah "who did this to you" Jade asked. "The little girl" Noah answered as Jade and Courtney helped them to the hospital. As they reached the hospital they entered the front way and got up towards the room next to Eric's which contained around 4 beds. Almon and Noah both laid in a separate bed. "Our doctor is dead I don't know how we are going to do this" Almon said dreadfully. "I know some stuff, I can possibly take the bullet out" Jade said. Josh ran into the room startled. "Is everything okay I heard the gunshots and quickly came as soon as I can" Josh said holding Kieran "Josh go find anesthetics quick we gotta put Almon down he's crashing out" Noah said getting himself off the table, "I'm also going to need my crutch Jade please I left it where we were shot" Noah explained. Josh quickly ran and located the drugs and brought them down the hall as fast as he could, Noah slaps the gloves on his hands and begins to sterilize Almons chest to begin the process of taking the bullets out. Josh brought the drugs into the room and Noah began setting everything up slowly knocking Almon out. Almon sedated laid there as Noah began taking the bullets out. He slowly cuts the chest with a scalpel and then began taking both bullets out with a forceps. Both bullets were removed and Noah then dropped to the floor. Jade quickly rushed Noah onto the bed who was seemingly still breathing. Jade then attempted to remove the bullet and succeeded after 1 and a half hours. Jade then began to sow up Almon. And then began sowing up Noah's chest as well. "You both are going to be okay, Josh we need to find Emily and fast, Courtney search wherever you can as well" Jade said fast . "I'll look I just have to stop at Rylies and ask her to take care of Grayson for me" Courtney said as she walked out the door fast. Both Jade and Josh quickly left as well. Noah and Almon laid in the beds peacefully sleeping the pain off as the anesthesia continued to run throughout their body. As Jade and Josh exited the hospital they noticed the front gate was wide open. A few of their own were dead but couldn't be identified as their faces were cut in cross like form. Jade looked at Josh in fear. "These look like the clothes some of our people on the bus were wearing" Jade said nervously. "No, only one of them, but I can't tell who it is" Josh answered. "We don't have time for that we have to get this gate shut quickly before roamers get in" Jade said loudly as they both ran towards the gate as they got up to the gate 4 IZC members stood there pointing there guns directly at Josh and Jades heads. Josh and Jade both dropped there weapons out there hands. "what do you guys want who are you?" Josh yelled. "We are from the Investigation Zombie Corporation, we want to know why you guys can't stay in your own lane and have to continuously search for us when we have our own business to attend too" The IZC member said. "Yeah well we haven't bothered you in fact your people killed one of ours two actually and took one of them and we haven't been able to see her sense that's why we went looking" Jade said confidently standing up to them. "Us" One of the members said. "Yes you" Jade answered quickly. "My boy I have to go check on him he's just barely born" Josh said nervously. "Go ahead, we will stay in touch" The IZC member said as they turned around and began walking back to there groups. Noah and Almon both in very bad condition laid there Almon patched up and so was Noah. Both awake looking at each other. "Can you speak" Noah said slightly. "I don't know" Almon answered to the best he could. "Don't try and get up just rest we both need it" Noah said as both of them began slowly closing their eyes and drifting to sleep.

2 weeks later November 17th, 2:50 P.M 2030
Blessedlands county California

Almon laid awake while Noah was resting up. Almon slowly stood up and began walking towards the bathroom door. He rubbed his eyes slightly trying to see clearer as the sun was beating through the window and brushing against face. Almon stepped into the bathroom and walked over towards the toilet. He then used the restroom and walked over towards the sink. He seen a toothbrush in a package and some toothpaste in a little white tube and he put it on the toothbrush. He began brushing his teeth while looking in the mirror. As he brushed he felt tingling in his lips and his mouth began to feel numb. Almon looked over at the little tube and picked it up. *oragel toothache medication* red the tube. Almon looked up dropped the toothbrush in the trash and threw away the tube running into the other room. "Noah, I need help My mouth is numb I brushed it with numbing crème" Almon freaked out. Noah sat up quickly and began to laugh as he walked over to Almon put his hand on his shoulder. "Yeah well your gonna have to wait it out" He said while laughing more.

November 17th 2030, 6:33 P.M Cuba
"Do you know the mother of these two children" Officer Melinda asked. "Yes she's dead" Kelly Antonio Jr. and Jason's older Sister. "What about the Father" officer Melinda asked. "He's dead two one of them says there dad told them to stay in the room because a man named Almon was Roaming around hunting people down" Kelly said nervously. "Hunting people down, that's no good he's lucky we can't trace him right now or we would, will you be taking care of them" officer Melinda Asked. "Yes" Kelly answered. "Okay just sign here and here and your good to go" Melinda said pointing to the two lines on the paper where Kelly signed and then placed the pen down. She stood up "ready to go kiddos" she spoke as both kids nodded their heads but were too traumatized to speak.

November 31st 2030, 10:00 A.M, California Blessed-lands County
Almon and Noah Who slowly recovered sat in the hospital while Jade and Josh the new Trained Doctors who were trained by Noah (who knew first Aid and most of the medical from being a firefighter and paramedic) continued to study some of the things they need to know before talking to Almon and Noah and preparing to release them. Eric still in a Coma laid there with machines all attached to him while Jade continued to Maintain all of the equipment. Time slowly passed as Jade finally entered the room and did a routine checkup one last time before sending Almon and Noah on their way. "Alright you both seem very healthy and ready to go so today's the day, are you guys okay and ready to leave yourself" Jade asked. Both shook their heads yes and as soon as he said good to go and left the room both Almon and Noah stood up and bolted for the doors. Almon and Noah stopped by Eric's room walking in. "Hey Eric" Almon said smiling as he sat down. "I know your not fully aware or awake but I love you and I'm glad your okay, wake up soon please cause we need you" Almon said resting his head on Eric's shoulder for a second then standing up and waving for Noah to follow him. "We need to either move where we are or I don't know because what's happening right now between us and the IZC it's above us we either stay here and die, stay here and fight, or safely leave with everyone we have alive right now finding a different place" Almon said. "Yeah no we kinda can't do that and we shouldn't we have enough to stand up for ourselves and if I have to die to keep this place up I will" Noah said to Almon as he walked out of the hospital. Almon followed.
