Part III Section VIIII-The Long Road Home

January 20th, 7:00 A.M, Shack Near Pacific Ocean, 2030

    Almon walked over towards the Unfrozen water, "yeah we cant cross anymore, I'm assuming it froze up because the Temps were really low, it must of unfroze while we were asleep" Almon said. "Let's loop around, it's longer but it's really the only way around" Eric said looking towards Almon, the tempature in the negatives, the cold wind brushed against there faces feeling like punches across the face, "yeah I think your right, let's just move I'm out of ideas" Almon said as everyone agreed and began walking around the Dock. With every step it felt as though it was getting colder, there fingertips icey to the touch, snow began to fall slowly, Walkers in the distance roamed around slower than usual. 4 Blue colored Jets flue across the sky with red Lines across black Bold Letters huge for the eye can see. The letters read *IZC* "hold on a second I've seen that literal abbreviation before on a helicopter" Stephan said abruptly. "We should talk more once we are back, but I haven't seen any symbol or planes like that neither has the CAF to my knowledge, as far as I know they aren't good people" Almon said as they continued to walk.

11:52 A.M, 2030, January 20th, Near BlessedLand County California

Almon, Eric, Rylie, Stephan, Grayson, Charlotte, Noah, Addison being held by Rylie, Courtney with her prosthetic leg and Arm, slowly made there way back to Home, the sign reading *San* with the other half destroyed, under read 1 Mile. "We are close" Stephan said with excitement. "The storms slowing down too" Eric said as he began to calm down. They began to slowly enter into town, as they entered they saw the gate that was halfway done. They all walked through the gate and began walking into the town hall building that sat in the center of the entire town. They walked into the one room with the door opened all the way. They saw the window with no glass inside it and the group began setting there things down. "Everything's will resume as normal tomorrow, we will finish that bridge." Almon said "right now let's all settle back into our homes and began to relax and prepare. Almon turned to Stephan and Noah. Almon placed his hand on Noahs shoulder, "I know it may seem like we got a long Road Home, but we are practically already there" Almon said as he began walking towards the open door with Courtney and Grayson, Stephan and Rylie take Addison and began walking towards The door and then too Rylies home. Eric gathered his things and realized there was half a blunt left in a baggie. Eric grabbed the half of blunt and began walking outside. He walked down the stairs and out the front door, he then took out a lighter he found a while back and began to light the blunt. As the blunt lit the lighter went out. Eric took 3 puffs quick then released slowly and tried to light it more just in case, the lighter didn't light again. Eric tossed the lighter on the distance and began finishing the blunt up. He tossed it with his finger flicking it into the distance he the proceeded to his home. As he was walking home he noticed in the distance a big bright Yellow bus began driving towards the town.

"I see a town in the distance" The woman yelled out, "well we are passing it" The driver said. "We all trusted you taking us away from the IZC and we at least made it to the American Border but we have been traveling with 27 people are we going to stop here, people want to sleep on actual beds" The woman asked, "yes we will stop if there's beds we will rest a day or two" The driver said as something jumped from the bushes, the bus turned quick and flipped over causing a crash in the middle of the road. "Son of a B****" The driver said.

"What the F***, Eric yelled as he ran towards the bus pulling his Pistol out, as he got closer he noticed Stephan and Almon walking up to it. Eric continued to walk till he began to hear them speak. He walked up to Almon and Stephan and stood by them. "We just flipped over and need help" The driver said. "You can stay here, it's safe,
we are building a gate up,
and getting everything set up, may we gather everyone's names" Stephan said. "Sure I have them written down right here"
The driver said grabbing the note book,

"my name is Jason Clark, then you have Dom, Jane, Mason, Hamlin, Gibby, Derek, Jermey, Jake, Mike, Teddy Johnson, Drake, Tod, Velma, Kristen, Josh, Ashley, Brooke, Jade, Ken, Kon, Seth, Micheal, Shelly, Jakey, Lilly, Ricky, Mark" And that'll be everyone. Jason said handing them the paper, Almon grabbed the paper and looked at it. "Hey I recognize you, You use to work with me in Mobil" Jermey said Almon looked up and nodded then handed the Paper back. "Follow Stephan he will show you to the set of houses you can all choose from, If anyone is dating one another, you may be in the same place. Thank you everyone for being patient, Stephan began gathering them up and showed the way to there houses. "Jane this could be really good" Dom said kissing her lips as they continued to walk with Stephan. "Things are looking up there's more people now" Almon said to Eric. "Yeah but can we trust them" Eric said as he began slowly walking back home. Almon looked off into the distance thinking. He then walked back home to his wife and Child.

4:57 P.M, January 20th, 2030, Blessedlands County

Charlotte walked up towards Stephan, "Hey I'm going on a supply run maybe find some animals and crops" Charlotte said, "yeah.., okay is anyone going with you" Stephan replied. "No, you can if you want" Charlotte answered. "Sure let me grab my SR and we can head out" Stephan said as they both began walking towards his place. Stephan walked inside after telling Charlotte to wait outside. He walked over towards Rylie and kissed her. "Heading out going on a run with Charlotte to try and catch animals and gather crops for food" Stephan said. "Okay just be safe" Rylie answered as she smiled. In the other room the sound of a crying baby sprung off as Addison began crying. "I'll go tend to her you go on that run" Rylie said as she walked into the other room. The sound of crying then silence sprang as Stephan walked out the front door. They began walking for a few minutes...then 2 hours.

6:43 P.M, Charlotte and Stephan supply run, 2030, January 20th

"I swear I thought we walked by an abandoned like hospital or something, but im not seeing it anywhere" Charlotte said nervously. "Hey listen we have been walking for ages it's getting dark, maybe we should head back we can search when we actually have time we still have to find animals and crops" Stephan said, his voice cracking amongst his words. "Wait over there" Charlotte said in excitement, the Huge building sat there falling apart slowly,  in the distance a Herd of Deer were eating grass, just 25 inches away from the building. "We are going to need help carrying those back some of the group, I will wait here" Charlotte spoke, "I don't think that's such a good idea" Stephan said hesitant. "Just do it we need the food" Charlotte said quickly, "here take this Stephan said as he handed her his SR and quickly began running towards town.

Charlotte stood there watching over the horizon, making sure the Deer stayed in sight. She knelt down watching them from the trees in a bush.

8:17 P.M, 2030, January, 20th, Daly City

Almon stretched his arms preparing to calm down for the evening he walked over towards Courtney laid in bed and snuggled her up, "how do you think the new people are taking this place so far" Almon said looking her in her eyes. "I think for now everything is gonna be okay I mean besides my arm and leg, I think we will be fine" Courtney said brushing Almons hair softly "I trust your judgment, how is Grayson by the way is he okay with everything" Almon said softly. "Yes he's doing really good with the change better than expected" Courtney answered.

"This place so far has been great" Jade said "how are you taking it?" Jade asked, "I'm doing good, honestly it's peaceful there's no fighting everyone seems to be on the same page here its relaxing" Brooke answered. "I'm just glad we crashed somewhere we can actually stay that feels safe" Jade said his voice raised in happiness. "Stephan, I think that's his name, grabbed some food for everyone, want me to make something." Brooke asked. "Yeah that would be great" Jade answered.
