Lacey's POV
4 weeks later
"This place is huge!" Luke exclaimed, squeezing my hand. I hardly felt it.
Even though I have been here countless times, the barn still amazed me. The incredible view will always leave me dazed.
As me and Luke crawled out of the car, Trixie's high pitched whinny echoed over the property. I let go of Luke's hand and jogged around the barn to see the one and only Trix cantering up to the fence to greet me.
"Trix, there's someone I want you to meet. This is Luke. This is Daddy, okay?" I giggled at my horse nuzzling at my neck, her usual greeting to me.
Nothing was different between me and Trixie. Even when I saw her the first time in years, she recognized me immediately.
"Aww, well Trixie, it's very nice to meet you," Luke chuckled.
"Wow. Beth doesn't even talk to her! That was adorable!" I squealed, blushing at the event.
"Shut up," Luke blushed, shoving me slightly. I howled I laughter when Trixie nudged him for pushing me.
"Hey there missy, remember, I. Am. Daddy." He tried to sound serious, but Trixie proceeded to scratch her head against his hand.
After being brought here by my mum 4 weeks earlier, I have brought only one person to see Trixie, other than Luke and that was Beth. Her and I have been hanging out nonstop after the incidents with Sam. Sam was mad when Beth said goodbye, but I was relieved when Beth did it, for obvious reasons.
I left my daze when Luke grabbed my hand reassuringly. He leaned down a tad to whisper in my ear, "Darling, no need to think about that okay? Every thing is okay now, your getting better, you got your baby back, your mom is around more, and you have amazing friends. And if you don't mind, I'd really love to watch you do a dressage pattern."
"Not to mention my amazing boyfriend," I beamed, pecking his cheek as I grabbed Trixie's lime green halter; it was about time to visit the arena again...
