Luke's POV
I walked into the crowded house, the bass telling me the inevitable; these stupid populars actually have a decent taste in music.
As I walked in, I heard a fight going on in the kitchen, even louder than the music.
I only saw the tail end if it, where a girl got thrown out of the circle. I thought I recognized her, but I didn't have the chance to look at her very well; she shoved her way into the back hallway. Trying to piece things together, I look back at the circle of people in the kitchen: Ryan's group. The same group that bullies Lacey.
I ask someone by me what happened, but didn't receive an answer. Almost as if they were scared to tell me... In my daze at what could have possibly happened, I'm pulled towards a kitchen table where a girl shoves a glass to my mouth. I gag and spit the drink out, hating the bitter, thick liquid.
"Ew, who the hell are you?!" I say, my vision getting blurry despite the fact that I spit it out.
"It doesn't matter," she cooed, starting to grind against me.
"Yes it does, knock it off, I have a girlfriend," I growl, pushing her away lightly; I may feel violated, but I still have morals.
"Ryan, the drug isn't working on him!" The girl complained.
"Dammit Brittney! Just, wait, now!" Ryan commanded.
At that, the girl, Brittney, thrust herself into my arms and slammed her lips into mine. I break away, looking at her in pure disgust.
"Ah, babe, don't look at me like that....you won't have a girlfriend for long....she just saw you," Britney's act was wearing off quickly. Her original bitch act was coming back in full force, probably because I straight up rejected her sucking on my face.
I look back just in time to see the same girl that ran into the back hall run out into the rain. Suddenly, it all clicked into place:
Lacey was getting beat up by the populars, and Brittney tried to make it worse by kissing me. And it worked.
I looked back at Brittney and scowled at her, threatening, "I swear you are so lucky you're a girl, because if you weren't, you would be knocked out on the ground right now."
She looked up at me, clearly terrified.
I turn around, eyeing Ryan. "YOU FUCKING BASTARD!!" I roared grabbing him by the throat and pinning him to the wall. He kicked out at me, but went limp as his face turned purple. I dropped him to the floor and let him be, again, though I wanted to beat him senseless, I had morals and you don't beat a man that's down. There was silence for a moment, before Jordan and Kaleb came at full force. Huge mistake on their part. Within about ten minutes, both of them were knocked out on the floor with Ryan. Everyone stared at me, and I laughed. A lot of other people laughed at how mortified the populars girls were and one person shouted, "Hey! Lacey's right! You guys really are a joke!" But that snapped me back into reality. I needed to find her. I ran despite my throbbing head and still blurry vision. I decided to be reasonable and try her house first. Bingo. I knock on the door and a cold faced mom is who answered. Oh shit. I've got a lot of explaining to do.
