Almost everyone had taken their positions for the game, and the sounds of cheering echoed from afar, creating an electric atmosphere. Jungkook and Hanuel stood firmly on the ground, Hanuel’s small hands firmly clasped in Jungkook’s grip.
"Okay, everyone! The game is simple! You have to collect all the colorful flags assigned to you, which are placed in the forest by our team! Whoever collects the most will win the game!" the announcer spoke, his voice booming over the crowd.
"Hey! You two take care of yourselves!" Jimin shouted, standing beside Taehyung, his tone playful yet filled with genuine concern.
Jungkook nodded in acknowledgment and turned to Taehyung, whose eyes were fixed on him with an intensity that spoke volumes. As always, no words were needed for them to understand what was going on in each other's minds.
Their gazes locked, and Jungkook knew exactly what Taehyung was conveying: "Protect him."
"Yes, I will," Jungkook hummed, a soft smile spreading across his face. The weight of that promise settled in his heart, fueling his determination.
As the announcer prepared to start the game, Jungkook turned to Hanuel, who was bouncing on his feet, excitement radiating from him. "Are you ready, buddy?" Jungkook asked, squeezing Hanuel's hand gently.
"Ready!" Hanuel exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Let’s go get those flags!"
As the whistle blew, they took off, the thrill of the game propelling them forward. Jungkook's focus sharpened, and he felt the fire of competition ignite within him.
Soon, everyone began to stroll into the forest, eager to collect the flags. Jungkook and Hanuel rushed in the direction of their designated area, their mission clear: find the red flags.
"Hyung! Where should we start first?" Hanuel asked, his voice filled with excitement as he looked up at Jungkook, who was scanning the surroundings for any sign of the vibrant flags.
"Let’s head toward that cluster of trees over there," Jungkook said, pointing to a dense area where the sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting playful shadows on the ground. "I think I saw something peeking out from behind them."
Hanuel nodded eagerly, his eyes sparkling with determination. He ran excitedly pulling Jungkook along as they dashed toward the trees.
They stopped in a clearing surrounded by tall trees, and Jungkook quickly scanned the area, his eyes darting around for any sign of the red flags. "Hanuel, go and look near that tree over there," he instructed, pointing to a sturdy oak not too far away. "But don’t go too far, okay?"
