The soft roar of engines filled the air as everyone sat in silence, the weight of their recent experiences hanging heavily over them. After hours of walking and climbing, Jungkook and Taehyung finally emerged from the forest, only to find that the camp had long since been dismantled.
"Of course!" Jimin exclaimed, frustration bubbling to the surface. "The principal must have lied smoothly and escaped."
All five of them were crammed into a single car . Yoongi sat in the front passenger seat, while Jimin rode the car. In the back, Taehyung, Jungkook, and Jennie sat together.
All of them chatted with each other . Moreover, Jungkook shared the crucial truth about the attack and the kidnapping. As he recounted the events, he could see the anger building in both Jimin and Jennie.
In a fit of rage, Jennie even spatted , "If I see him, I would strangle him to death!" Her eyes blazed with fury , imagining herself torturing the dirty sewer rats .
Jungkook and Yoongi exchanged glances, both thinking that Jennie was simply venting her anger. They were oblivious to the fact that she genuinely meant what she said. To them, it was just another expression of frustration in a heated moment.
However, Taehyung and Jimin remained silent, their expressions serious. They knew Jennie well enough to understand that her words were not to be taken lightly. After all, Jennie was a well-known underground fighter, her reputation preceding her wherever she went. Even her techniques to torture people were quite gruesome and scary. Those who had witnessed her in action knew better than to underestimate her.
" Jungkook , you need treat your injuries ! It would be better if you come with us," Jennie said, glancing at Jungkook's injury with worrid face.
Jungkook hesitated, shaking his head. "No, I can manage it. Yoongi is with me!" If he went with Taehyung now, he would be late getting home, and the thought of facing his father already gave him a headache. That old hag would erupt like a volcano if he didn't return on time. He was determined to avoid any delay.
"But your injuries are serious!" Jimin interjected, his eyes focused on the road but his voice filled with urgency. "Even your Yoongi hyung isn't capable of treating them properly!" He raised his voice slightly, ensuring that a certain mint-haired boy beside, could hear him.
Yoongi shot Jimin a sidelong glare, annoyed by the short man's mock . Taehyung who was silent till now― interjected, "You're not in a position to make decisions right now. It's better if you come with us ."
"Yeah, Jungkook, even Hanuel would be happy to meet you," Jennie added with a smile trying to convince him . "That boy was terrified!"
But their pleas fell on deaf ears; Jungkook had already made up his mind. He glanced at Taehyung, silently pleading for understanding of his situation, but Taehyung remained resolute and silent, as he had already declared earlier to take him. Jungkook sighed, "It's not that I don't want to go with you guys, but my father is strict and must be waiting for me."
