Vihaan’s POV

“Dad, Ziva isn’t playing with me,” Ziya complained, looking at her sister who sat on the sofa corner, scratching the fabric with her tiny fingers.

“Did you trouble her?” I asked, applying butter to the bread. “No Dad, Ask Dadi” She pinched her throat, proving the truthfulness of her words.

I shook my head and got up from the chair. I placed the butterknife in the middle of the dining table, ensuring it was out of Ziya’s reach in case she climbed the chair in my absence.

“Ziva, kya hua?” I approached, taking a seat beside her. “Dad, ye meri choti tichi,” she complained, hurriedly raising with the support of the sofa arm. “You love Zia,” she collected her crocodile tears, sniffing her nose.

“I love you both,” I assured, gathering in my embrace and pressing my lips gently on her forehead.

She stayed silent, busy fiddling her fingers “Zivu, you know why is your name Ziva?”

“Kavya Bhuasa believes we both have the same eyes. See” I leaned, bringing my face closer and she lifted her eyes innocently to verify. A brim smile appeared on her face.

“You love Ziva,” she raised her finger and pointed at herself.

“No, Dad loves me,” Ziya ran in our direction, climbed onto the sofa, and wrapped her tiny arms around me.

“I love you both,” I said, my hand asking her to occupy the space beside me.

“Kese maanu mai?”Ziya pouted.

I brought them closer, making them sit closely on each side, sandwiching me in between them.

“Tum dono ke paas kitni aankhein hai?” I asked, waiting for them to respond.

Ziva rubbed her index finger on her nose and shifted her gaze to me “One”

Mom giggled coming across her answer.

“Zivu beta, that's your nose yaani naak. Aankhein means your eyes.” Mom sat on the sofa across from us and leaned, blinking her eyes.

“Yeh hai aankh jisse aap sabko dekhte ho.”She continued, moving a soft glance at each of us.

“Dad, see Zivu is budhu.” Ziya stuck out her tongue, “Ziva, your eyes are these” She moved her fingers, stopped, and pointed at the eyes.

“Ye aankhein hai tum dono ki. Aapki konsi favorite hai inn dono mai se? Batao dono,” I asked them while they stayed mum, blinking confusingly.

“Dadi,” Ziva requested to help her out.

“Ye dad aur unke betiyo ke bich mai nahi aaugi,” she declared, raising her hands and giving up to provide any help.

“Dad,” Ziya’s voice brought our attention to her. “Dono hi chahiye mujhe,” she completed her answer, waiting eagerly to hear my side.

“Wahi, tum dono important ho mere liye, so I love you both,” I smiled and kissed their cheeks one by one.

“Mumma ke paas nahi dikhne wala baby hai woh bhi?” Ziva raised a question, interlacing her hands.

“Yes beta,” Mom answered on behalf of me. “Woh chupa hua baby bhi aapke Dad ko pyaara hai, even Mumma bhi.” She teases ruffling her hand in Ziva’s hair.

“Dadu?”Ziya questioned, joining her brows.

“Yes, Raichands ko ek dusre se pyaar hai, we're family, right?”
