Korra's Sister (Sequel to Princess Kira)

Chapter 46

As the sun set over the horizon, team avatar headed out towards Kuvira's army. At Air Temple Island, Tenzin stood beside Violet as they watched Echo stretch his wings.

"He certainly has gotten big," Tenzin comments.

"He's a full-sized dragon now," Violet says as she reaches her hand up towards Echo. The dragon put his head down so Violet could rub his nose. "It's a shame I can no longer hold him in my arms."

"The dragon has grown alongside his master," Tenzin smiles slightly. "The both of you has grown greatly since you first arrived at this city. I couldn't be prouder."

"We've had a good teacher," Violet replies as she turns to Tenzin.

"Korra didn't tell you about her plan, did she?" Tenzin asks.

"No, she didn't," Violet turns to him with a smile "but I didn't tell her mine either."

"I suppose not," Tenzin replies with a hint of amusement.

"You know," Violet looks out at the sunset "When I first came to this city, I didn't expect things to turn out the way they have."

"Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?" Tenzin asks.

"I think it's a mix," Violet chuckles. "I came here knowing how reckless my older sister was, but I guess I was hoping she'd mature a bit."

"I think she has," Tenzin says.

"I think so too," Violet agrees. "Korra may not always agree with my input, but she has learned to respect it. As I have disagreed with her actions, I have learned to follow them."

"The guardian and avatar, finally are working in harmony with each other." Tenzin smiles before turning back to look at the city as the sun had finished it's decent. "Let's just hope that will be enough, for what's to come."

The two turn their heads towards the descending Bison. Violet pats Echo's nose and he takes off into the sky before she runs to the courtyard with Tenzin. Pema, Raiko, Lin, Suyin, Wei, and Wing join them.

"Korra? Are you all right? Why are you back so soon?" Tenzin asks worriedly.

"It's Kuvira, our intel was wrong!" Korra tells him as she jumps off the Bison "She must have known Zhu Li had the information."

"What are you trying to say?" Raiko asks.

"Kuvira's army is only a few hours away," Korra tightens her fist.

"What?!" Violet freaks out as Mako stands beside her to hold her hand.

"No, they can't be!" Tenzin panics "We're not ready."

"And that spirit weapon of hers is attached to a giant mecha suit," Korra adds. "It's over twenty-five stories tall!"

Raiko turns to Lin "Get General Iroh on the line and tell him that the attack is happening today. We need to lock down the city!"

Lin rushes off as Violet looks around at the group.

"Pema!" Tenzin turns to his wife "Find Wu and get the remaining citizens to safety, immediately. We can't have innocent lives in jeopardy."

Pema nods before running off.

"What do we do?" Bolin asks.

"Let's go to my factory," Asami turns to him "Maybe we can get a few of those hummingbird suits up and running."

"We're coming with you," Suyin says.

Asami nods in agreement before the three of them run off. Violet tightens her hold on Mako's hand as she turns to her sister.
