Violet opens her eyes, floating unconscious in spirit-form. She looks around her before the purple color around her starts to dissolve. The world materializes around her as she returns to her normal form. She landed in the world at the same time as her sister and Kuvira. They slowly descend onto the landscape around the new spirit portal, a field of purple flowers and mangled-looking reddish trees.

As they touch down, Kuvira groans and topples. Korra catches her and holds the unconscious woman in her arms.

"Is she dead?" Violet asks.

"No," Korra shakes her head.

"Damn it," Violet mutters.

When Kuvira comes to, she realizes who is holding her and lets out a panicked cry, before scrambling away, pushing Korra over. On her feet, Kuvira looks around at the new environment.

"What happened?" Kuvira asks panicked "Are we... dead?"

"No," Violet crosses her arms.

"We're in the Spirit World," Korra answers as she stands up, she raises her arms to gestures around them. "All the energy from your weapon tore open a new portal and blasted us in here."

Kuvira lowers her head and looks away "Why would you save my life, after everything I did?"

"I guess..." Korra looks away "I see a lot of myself in you."

"We are nothing alike!" Kuvira shouts angrily.

"That's where you're wrong," Violet interrupts. "My sister is fierce and determined to succeed," She turns her head towards Korra "Sometimes without thinking it through." She looks back at Kuvira "Just like you."

"...this wasn't how I wanted things to end." Kuvira falls to her knees. "If you would have all just surrendered," She straightens up a little, glaring at the Avatar. "None of this would have happened."

"If you didn't start the war in the first place, none of this would've happened," Violet states.

"Messing with the spirit vines, acting like a dictator over your people..." Korra walks towards her "you had to know what you were doing wasn't right."

"I was trying to help my people." Kuvira replies angrily. "Su turned her back on the Earth Kingdom, you both disappeared! I had to do something."

Violet slowly walks over and bends down in front of her "I think I understand now."

"You don't understand me at all!" Kuvira shouts, looking up at Violet, before her face shifts.

"Su told us how she took you in when you were younger," Korra says "It must have been so hard being an orphan."

"Don't pretend you know what it felt like!" Kuvira looks down "The Avatar and her Guardian is adored by millions! I was cast aside by my own parents like I meant nothing to them. How could I just stand by-" She began to cry "and watch the same thing happen to my nation, when it needed someone to guide it?"

"You're right, we don't know what it's like to be an orphan." Violet says, "But you're wrong too." Kuvira looks up at her as she continued "Switch, remember, I wasn't always the Guardian. A figure for people to look up to and count on like the Avatar. I was simply a replacement if anything happened to her."

Korra put a hand on Violet's shoulder as she looked down at Kuvira "I was expected to sit by as my sister always went headfirst into danger." Violet put her hand on Korra's hand "So that even if the Avatar perished, I could take her place. But I didn't want that... She's my sister after all." She smiles to Kuvira "How could I just sit by and watch my sister take on everything alone?"
