It's Halloween weekend.
And what does that mean?
It means that the Port Mafia members are hunting for witches.

Each year, one Port Mafia member secretly receives a golden chain from Mori. The lucky person becomes the witch and must hide the golden chain with all their power. If they are lucky enough to keep it until the end of the game, they can ask for anything from Mori or one of the executives. Usually, the winners ask for a one-week vacation or a promotion. And that's where the problem lies—everyone wants to win, so this silly game can turn into a really dangerous one, where a hand or foot might be lost. Last year, the game got so violent that Mori had to step in and tell the lower-level members to stop killing and maiming each other.

Nakahara Chuuya did not participate in the game last year; he was too busy working and trying to beat Dazai at... well, everything. This year, however, he has a reason to win. He wants to go to France. Of course, his wish isn't the only thing motivating him.
Yesterday, while Dazai was half-asleep, he mumbled, "I wish I could eat a real croissant," and that may have warmed Chuuya's heart, motivating him to win this—for him, well... for them.

The good thing about the mafia is that it's highly corrupt, meaning you can buy information from anyone for a little price. And that's exactly what Chuuya has been doing. He tried to get some information out of Kouyou during their tea meeting, but she wasn't much help, as she found these types of games childish.

"But Chuuya... why are you even interested in such childish games? You're such a smart little boy. Why don't you invest your time in other, more productive activities?" Kouyou mused while sipping her coffee.

Chuuya shrugged casually, not wanting to bring up Dazai. "I just want to go to France... you know, see the Eiffel Tower, eat some croissants, and practice my French. I'd love to get a one-week vacation, you know... to relax."

"And you would go alone?" Even though Chuuya wasn't looking at her, he could feel Kouyou's smirk.

"I was thinking of bringing a friend with me," he replied, careful not to let too much slip.

"Hmm... such a lucky friend, having someone risk their life just to get some tickets. Adorable."

"Isn't he a lucky one?" Chuuya agreed with a grin.

"He is... not even my last boyfriend ever tried to do anything like that for me. You must really like this friend."

"I see what you're trying to do... and I plead the fifth."

"Well... I wasn't trying to do anything, but since you're acting so defensive, it may mean that you don't want to talk about your feelings," Kouyou replies calmly. "And I won't be the one to force you to admit those things to yourself."

"Kouyou, I'm not here to talk about these made-up feelings you think I have for my friend. Do you have, or do you not have, information that might help me?"

"I may have heard a thing or two about someone on Hirotsu's team having the gold chain, so if I were you, I'd talk to him," Kouyou answers, finishing her coffee.

"Thank you, Kouyou, I'll look into it," Chuuya says, getting up and preparing to leave.

"You're welcome, Chuuya," Kouyou replies, and just as Chuuya is about to leave, she adds, "Oh, and when you come back from your trip, please tell me how it went."

"I will," the redhead responds quickly before closing the door and rushing downstairs.
I need to find Hirotsu, now, but how?

Although Chuuya knew the older man, they weren't close, so calling wasn't an option. Luckily, Nakahara had access to the IT room, where he could check if Hirotsu was on a mission. As he entered, the room reeked of unwashed sheets and sweat, a smell Chuuya despised. He grimaced, holding his nose as he hurried to find a free computer. None were available.
