"What the fuck are you doing with my phone in your hand?" Chuuya asks impatiently after waking up from his light sleep, clearly pissed off at this invasion of privacy.
"Heard a notification and decided to check to see if it wasn't anything important, Chibi~~," responds Dazai with a fake smile.
"Well, I don't need you to look at my phone, thank you very much," replies the redhead, snatching the phone out of Dazai's hand and glancing at his notifications.
Chuuya looks at his phone and sees two messages Kouyou had sent him.
[Ane-san :3]: Dear Chuuya, hope your trip went well and that Dazai hasn't annoyed you to the point of exhaustion.
[Ane-san :3]: Could you please bring me some tea from Korea? My Korean tea stock is running out.[Chuuya]: It went well; unfortunately, we had a small problem en route, but nothing serious.
[Chuuya]: Do you have any preferences for tea?[Ane-san :3]: Not at all. I trust your taste.
[Ane-san :3]: Thank you very much. I hope you get some time to visit the city.[Chuuya]: You're welcome, and me too.
"Chibi~~, get off the phone, I'm bored," whispers the brunet while poking the redhead.
"Why don't you just play a game on your phone or, I don't know, text Oda? You guys seem to be pretty good friends."
"Oda is busy being the best Port Mafia employee, and I don't wanna play on my phone because I've already reached the highest level on every game I have," he says, annoyed, putting his hand on his face. "Besides, my boyfriend is busy too."
"Osamu..." starts Chuuya, and Dazai swears his heart skips a beat. "I don't care," the redhead continues, putting his AirPods on. The younger man starts sulking next to him.
"Chuuya is no fun..." Dazai says, looking surprisingly sad. Luckily for Dazai and unfortunately for Chuuya, Chuuya is a sensitive and emotional human being. It doesn't take long for him to break the awkward silence between them.
"Do you want to listen to music with me?" he says, offering Osamu his right-side AirPod.
"Yes," Dazai quickly says, grabbing it and putting it on.
"But I don't want to hear you complaining about any of my songs. If you do, I'll strangle you."
"But Chuuya... what if you have terrible taste?"
"Well, you'll have to deal with it—with your mouth closed."
The brunet mumbles an okay under his breath and closes his eyes, attempting to relax during the rest of the ride. Shockingly, Chuuya's music is incredibly relaxing.
"She's a certified mind-blower
Knowing full well that I don't
May suggest there's somewhere from which I might know her
Just to get the ball to roll
Drunken monologues, confused because
It's not like I'm falling in love, I just want ya
To do me no good
And you look like you could."Chuuya hears Dazai singing a part of a song and turns to look at him. He didn't know Dazai could sing so well, nor that he was a fan of foreign music. He thinks he should compliment Osamu's singing but quickly decides to stay silent, afraid that saying something will make Dazai stop. Instead, Chuuya changes the playlist to his favorite songs, hoping to hear Dazai sing them.
Their car ride ends about 30 minutes later. The 18-year-old boys step out of the car and stand before a massive skyscraper. They're ready for their meeting. Both have changed out of their casual clothes (though Dazai, who always wears a suit, has merely upgraded to a better one).
