~Robins pov again~

My eyes felt glued together as I peeled them open in the morning. My face felt a little numb but I brushed it off. I stood up and stretched before turning around and looking at everyone. Vicki was upside down with her head and neck drooping off the couch while he back, hips, and legs lay on the cushion. Veronica was sleeping on Vicki's stomach and they both breathed in sync which is about the coolest thing Veronica has done since I've gotten here. I headed towards the restroom and flicked on the light only to be jump scared by my own face. As I glanced in the mirror I realized that my face was covered in poorly done makeup along with a fake mustache. The crusty mascara must've been the reason I could barely get my eyes open. I grabbed a wash cloth and got it wet to scrub off all this makeup. Once I was done, I grabbed a bunch of markers that were left in the bathroom. They forgot that the first person asleep is also the first to wake up. I dashed to the living room and began to draw on their faces. I gave Veronica a Unibrown and Vicki a beard. Vicki looked really weird since her red hair contrasts to the blue beard I gave. I thought it was funny. I also wrote "Woof" on both of their foreheads. When I was done I stood up and admired my art work. Vicki, despite having a whole bunch of crap on her face, still looked fabulous. I grinned and walked over to the phone and dialed Steve's phone number. It rung for a while before I heard Steve's voice echo through it.

"Hello?" His morning voice was really raspy so you could tell that he had just woke up.

"Hey, it's Robin," I respond.

"Oh, hi Robin. Are you ready for me to pick you up?"

"Uh yeah. Why else would I be calling you?"

"Maybe just to talk to your best friend but I don't know." He replied sarcastically.

"Nah, hurry up please," I said.

"I'm on my way," Steve sighs.

I hang up the phone and turn around. Veronica eyes immediately come into view. She stares at me and not in a loving way. Her eyes are piercing and the longer she stares the more uncanny she appears. She stands, no words exchanged. Her eyes follow me as she walks closer to me. She stops right in front of me and looks up at me. "Good morning," she says. No smile, just deep, judging eyes.

"G-good morning!" I utter.

She smirks and then heads to the bathroom. As soon as she disappears behind the corner, I hear a knock at the door. I strut over to the door and see Steve's messy hair strewn across his face. I immediately open the door to avoid that uncomfortable feeling of being alone with Veronica. I look back at Vicki but walk out on the porch anyway.

"Let's go." I insist.

Steve stands there confused. "Don't you want to say goodbye to your-"

"I said let's go! Now! Move!" As soon as I say that, an ear piercing scream echos through the house behind me.

Steve runs to the car and I follow suite. I jump as another scream bellows from the house. I open the car door and slide in. Steve speeds out of the driveway as Vicki and Veronica emerge from the house, their beautiful makeup still on. They both flip me off, which I know Vicki is joking but Veronica is genuinely fuming. I burst out laughing anyway in spite of that nagging feeling that Veronica is up to something.

"Holy shit! What the hell was that Robin?!" Steve panics.

"Chill. All I did was get a little revenge," I snort.

"Then what was that screaming? I thought that you know he was back. You know, Vecna." Steve whispered the last part.

The feeling of unease returned. "Steve, you're not going to summon him. You don't have to whisper."

"I'm not willing to risk it after all he's done to us." Steve mutters.

We sit in silence for the rest of the ride. I stare out the window and let my mind wonder. I think about what Will wanted from Max. I think about Nance and Steve. And most importantly, I think about what Veronica is up to. She clearly didn't just go to the bathroom if it took her that long to see the "makeup". Unless she truly is a dumb blonde.

I feel the turn that indicates we're almost at my home. I snap back to reality and look over at Steve.

"I'm sorry for teasing you yesterday. I know you and Nancy aren't back together. And if you guys were I need to give you time and space to feel comfortable about telling me instead of forcing you."

His head perks up. "Where'd this come from?" He asks.

"My heart," I answer.

"Yeah okay. I appreciate that but I'm not dating anyone, and if I were, you would be the first person I'd tell." He avows.

"Good," I respond.

The conversation wraps up just as Steve pulls into my driveway. I get out his car and head up the sidewalk but turn around when Steve shouts, " Get ready! I'll be back before 3 o-clock. We're going to visit Eddie so dress appropriately. I'll call when I'm on my way."

"You got it!" I shout back.

I enter my house and slam the door. If my mom is home she'll yell, which is the way I figure if she's home or not. Sure enough there's no response. I kick off my shoes at the door and head upstairs to my room.

Sorry if this chapter feels a bit shorter than usual. I didn't want to make it too long for the next chapters will be just Eddie and the group so I didn't want to make this about him. If that makes no sense, im sorry. Anywho, I hope you liked this short chapter!
