I walked Towards The Kitchen when Mrs. shin was cooking food. I sighed when she spoke
"You seems Too tired"
"I am just fine, Mrs. Shin.. it's just I am having a bit"
Before I speak, she spoke with a soft voice..But warned me
"You Should not talk back to Sir, you know?"
"Talk back? I don't talk back, I just talk what is needed"
"Sir is different, respectable but He can't stand when Someone talks ba—"
"Mrs. Shin," he said, his tone sharp and commanding, leaving no room for argument.
I froze in place, the air thick with tension as Namjoon's voice cut through the room like a blade.
Mrs. Shin straightened, her hands clasped tightly together.
"Y... yes, sir?"
"I'd love it if you didn't give any advice to Miss Yn. I hope you'll not repeat this in future. Let her be just as she wants," he said, his gaze piercing as he stepped closer, his presence dominating the small kitchen.
"But sir," she began, her voice hesitant, though the weight of his authority was palpable.
"Am I clear? Am I?" he repeated, his tone lower, colder, with a finality that made my breath hitch.
Mrs. Shin swallowed hard and nodded.
"Y... yes, sir."
Namjoon’s eyes flicked to me briefly, unreadable, before he turned on his heel and left the room. I exhaled the breath I didn’t realize I had been holding, my heart racing as the heavy silence settled around us.
Mrs. Shin avoided my gaze, her earlier warning now feeling like a distant echo. I didn’t know what to feel—embarrassment, defiance, or something more complicated I wasn’t ready to unpack. But one thing was certain: Namjoon was a man of unyielding control, and he wasn’t someone you could easily challenge.
I found myself drawn to his gaze, unable to look away as my fingers gripped the edge of the kitchen counter. His eyes held a quiet intensity, a magnetic pull that made my heart race. He didn’t say a word, yet his presence spoke louder than any command.
It was as if the world around us had dissolved, leaving just the two of us in this suspended moment. The way he looked at me—calm yet commanding—made me feel both vulnerable and entranced, as though he had cast a spell that I couldn’t break free from.
My chest rose and fell with each uneven breath, my legs feeling like they might betray me at any moment. Why couldn’t I move? Why couldn’t I speak? It was as though every fiber of my being was responding to him, drawn into his orbit.
His eyes softened ever so slightly, a flicker of something deeper passing through them. For a moment, it felt as if he was silently asking me to step closer, to bridge the gap between us.
I swallowed hard, my resolve wavering as my feet shifted slightly. What was happening to me? Why did his mere presence unravel me this way?
I turned to the counter, desperate to hide the nervous fluttering in my chest. My fingers gripped the edge, grounding me as I tried to steady my breathing. The weight of his gaze burned into my back, and no matter how much I tried to ignore it, I couldn’t shake the awareness of him.
The soft clang of the coffee machine became my focus as I reached for the buttons, but my hands trembled slightly, betraying my composure. His presence wasn’t just near—it was overwhelming, a magnetic force pulling me into his orbit even when I tried to resist.
