YN POV 📸

I rang the doorbell. The door opened to reveal Jungkook. I offered him a gentle smile, which he returned.

"Please, come in," he said, guiding me inside before locking the door behind us. "Thank you for joining us, Yn."

"Thank you for inviting me."

"Actually...I didn't invite you. My father did."

"Oh...yeah.. thank him on my behalf." I truly am grateful-his invitation is just the escape I needed.

"Come, have a seat," he directed me to the living room, and I handed him the flowers.

"These are for your mother."

"How thoughtful, she loved orchids."

"I remembered you mentioning that once."

"Thank you for being so considerate, Yn. You sit here, and I'll be back after I give these to her. I just got home myself."

"Oh, no worries. Take your time, freshen up. You look a bit worn out."

"Make yourself comfortable. My dad will be down soon; you two can chat."

"Sure," I replied with a smile as he nodded and went upstairs. I glanced around the house.

It was my first time inside. Usually, I'd just meet him out front before heading to college. But being here now, I noticed how neat and orderly it was. If I had to sum up his house in one word, it would be... perfect.

"Yn, welcome to my home," a deep voice resonated through the room, sending a shiver down my spine.

I turned, meeting his gaze-the man descending the stairs, eyes fixed on me.

His hair was gray, not from age, but by choice; I'd read somewhere that it was his favorite color, and it truly looked stunning on him. He wore a simple black turtle neck with perfectly tailored beige trousers. For a man his age, he was flawless-the very embodiment of perfection, Kim Namjoon, The Lord of Industry. Everyone can die and kill for him without a thought. At this age, the charm he holds is breathtaking.

I didn't know why I was thinking about all those things

I didn't know why I was thinking about all those things. It was absolutely inappropriate for me to think the same as his fans do. Maybe I'm not an exception but the age gap is a BIG NO. Moreover, he is my best friend's Father, is a double BIG NO.

I rose quickly from the couch and bowed.

"No need for that," he said, approaching me. "I'm hardly anyone special."

"What are you saying, sir? You're one of the most respected actors, the gentleman of the industry."

He smiled, locking eyes with me. "I'm no gentleman, Yn." In his youth, he'd been every woman's ideal man, and it wasn't hard to see why. Even now, in his forties, he outshone everyone with his unmistakable charm.
