Rani sat in the quiet of the forest clearing, the crackling firelight reflecting on her tear-streaked face. The slap Nakul had delivered during their heated argument still stung-not just on her cheek but deep in her heart. She pressed her palm to the spot, her chest aching with a pain that words couldn't contain. It wasn't the physical blow that broke her-it was the betrayal, the culmination of misunderstandings, arguments, and the weight of all the moments when she had silently endured.

She wasn't weak, and yet, she felt utterly defeated

She wasn't weak, and yet, she felt utterly defeated.

Behind her, she heard footsteps-heavy and purposeful. The presence of her husbands surrounded her like a storm, each of them carrying their own guilt, frustration, and pride. They had finally found her again, yet the atmosphere felt like a battlefield rather than a reunion.

Duryodhan was the first to speak, his voice sharp but laced with something softer. "How long will you keep running from us, Rani? How long will you punish us by turning your back?"

Rani didn't look at him. "I'm not running," she said quietly. Her voice was calm but carried an edge of steel. "I'm just tired of waiting for the men I married to see me as more than a burden or a means to their ends."

Her words cut deep. Duryodhan clenched his fists, stepping closer, his towering figure casting a shadow over her seated form. "A burden? Do you have any idea what you mean to us?" His voice rose, his emotions spilling over.

Rani finally turned her gaze to him, her eyes filled with both fury and heartbreak. "Do I, Arya? Because all I've seen is your pride, your ego, and your refusal to trust me. If I truly meant something to you, would I have been slapped in a moment of anger? Would I have been left to feel like an outsider in my own marriage?"

Nakul, who had been standing silently at the edge of the clearing, flinched at her words. He stepped forward, guilt written all over his face. "Rani... I-"

 I-"
