Her husbands stood nearby, their shadows long against the flickering flames, their faces painted with guilt and worry. The weight of their silence crushed her more than any words could. 

“Say something,” she whispered, her voice trembling, her eyes brimming with tears that refused to fall. “Tell me he’s lying. Tell me that none of this is true.” 

Yudhishthir stepped forward, his face etched with pain. “Rani…” he began, his voice low and hesitant. “There are things we… we didn’t tell you. But it was never to hurt you. We were trying to protect you.”

er laugh was bitter, breaking like glass in the heavy air. “Protect me? By keeping me in the dark? By making me believe I was safe when the truth was something else entirely?” Her voice cracked, the tears spilling over now. 

Arjun reached for her, but she stepped back, her hands trembling. “Don’t. Don’t touch me right now,” she said, her voice sharp, though it hurt her to pull away from him. “I trusted you—all of you—with my heart, my soul. I thought you loved me as much as I loved you. But now… now I don’t even know if I ever truly knew you.” 

“Rani, please,” Nakul pleaded, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. “We’ve always loved you. That has never changed. But some truths… some truths were too dangerous to share.” 

Her gaze snapped to him, her pain transforming into anger. “And who gave you the right to decide that for me? You don’t get to choose what I can or can’t handle. You don’t get to protect me by breaking my trust!” 

Sahadev, usually calm and steady, looked utterly broken. “We were wrong,” he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. “But please, don’t doubt our love for you. Everything we’ve done has been for you, Rani.” 

“For me?” she repeated, her voice rising

“For me?” she repeated, her voice rising. “You kept secrets about my own life, my own safety, and you expect me to believe it was all for me?
