Tala could hear the sound of rubber soles scratching against the pavement urgently behind her.
The sound had startled her, which then proceeded to her to start running.
"Tala!"
It's him! Geez why is he following me still?!
She rounded a corner and could still hear him closely behind her. She didn't care about the weird stares she was getting, she just needed to get away from him.
"Tala please stop running!"
Just as she was about to step down to cross the street, a grip on her cardigan yanked her backwards, her back quickly hitting against his chest made her gasp. A car had zoomed through the red light, she would have been hit for sure if Lando didn't grab her. "Fuck Tala, do you want to die?"
She didn't reply and escaped his grip for second but it was short lived as he quickly held onto her arm while his other hand wrapped around her chest. "Please don't run anymore from me," He whispers from behind her head.
She tried to free herself again but his hold was just too strong to break from and he had already been in process of moving the both of them to an area that had less people, less eyes.
Once he found a spot that felt private enough for him, he spun her around to face him. He pushed her softly against the wall caging in her body with his hands above her head. Tala observed him, he was panting but not as hard as her. He also looked different. His hair, it was a soft mullet now, she hated that her mind immediately liked it. It suited his curls and face too perfectly.
"You run really fast for someone with short legs."
"Lando."
"Okay, I'm sorry."
"I told you I wasn't ready to-"
"Talk, I know but I just can't..."
"Can't what?" She peered up at him questioningly with a faint frown on her lips.
He took a moment to think about it again, the pinched skin between his brows made him looked distressed. His brief moment of pause made Tala feel uncomfortable about what he was going to say.
"...I can't get you out of my head, I can't leave you alone, I can't do it Tala."
At first shock came, then annoyance as she just stood there, silent. It killed him.
